SPECIAL: The World War
SCOTLAND DEFEATED. Edinburgh, occupied Scotland. The heavy fighting in the British islands was brought to a conclusion this year as the English army continued its advance against the Scottish armies of the Co-Axial Pact. The Scots, still reeling from their defeats over the past two years, threw as many soldiers as they could throughout the year, fighting for every scrap of land. The fall of Glasgow in a major urban battle symbolized the defeat of the last large Scottish army, as the remnants surrendered in the smoldering ruin of one of the nation's former economic capitol. The English spent much of the remainder of the year, sweeping out various pockets of Scottish resistance still remaining, including on the scattered islands around Britain and a major fight at the former New Englander base incorrectly labeled by the American nation as Scapa Flow. The death of the Scottish king and the collapse of the military have brought an end to the Scottish nation and the English military has begun occupying the region, as they fortify their borders against a French assault.
Casualty List
Scotland: 267 Infantry Brigades, 5 Cavalry Brigades, 9 Artillery Brigades, 2 Anti-Air Brigades, 2 Anti-Tank Brigades, 5 A-35 Brigades (destroyed)
England: 177 Infantry Brigades, 3 Artillery Brigades, 4 Anti-Air Brigades, 4 Anti-Tank Brigades, 10 Panzer IV Brigades, 2 AS-124 Squadrons, 2 Buster Squadrons
WAR OVER THE CHANNEL. London, England. A major air war has erupted between the forces of England and the Co-Axial Pact over the English Channel and France and southern England. Axis planes have clashed for control of the skies, as the English launch bombing attacks against railroads and other infrastructure throughout northern France. Several small raids have even been launched against Paris, as the English launch a major new strategic bombing campaign in an attempt to open up a new second front against the French army. Portuguese planes, with French support have retaliated against the English, launching bombing raids into England proper, bombing industrial centers throughout the southern part of the island.
Casualty List
France: 10 PPDA-38 Squadrons
Portugal: 12 PPDA-41 Squadrons, 4 PBHA-40 Squadrons
England: 34 AS-124 Squadrons, 6 Tyr-1 Squadrons, 8 Buster Squadrons
WAR FOR THE ATLANTIC. Plymouth, England. The war in the eastern Atlantic Ocean has taken a decisive turn in favor of the Co-Axial Pact, as the French bring to bear the power of the Italian navy alongside their own. In a decisive naval and air battle over the Azores, the islands were reclaimed by the Portuguese army from English occupation. In the course of the battle the remnants of the Free German navy were destroyed by Italian ships, and the English were decisively defeated as well, as their then current fleet was also sent to the bottom. The English suffered even worse defeat when the French navy launched a submarine raid at Liverpool, destroying the hulls of several battleships before they could be completed. The Axis victory at sea has had dire ramifications for the English nation, as shipping has almost completely stopped to the island, and food becomes in short supply. The English government has instituted even harsher rationing, bringing the average meals per day down to one of sawdust bread and stale water.
Casualty List
France: 2 Destroyers, 2 Light Cruisers, 1 Heavy Cruiser
Republic of Italy: 1 Destroyer, 3 MR Submarines
Portugal: 8 Infantry Brigades

THE RUSSIAN FRONT. Moscow, Russian Federation. The main theme of the war in the Russian Federation is stalemate this year, as neither side managed to gain a significant advantage over the other by the year's end. In the north, the year started well for the forces of the Co-Axial Pact as they pushed closer and closer to St. Petersburg, bringing the city under constant support firepower from both the ground and the skies. This trend broke mid-year when a large-scale defection and surrender among the Prussian military led to the creation of massive gaps within the Axis lines. As the French army struggled to fill the new holes, the Russians launched a surprising breakthrough, shattering the remnants of the Prussian expeditionary force and a large amount of French forces as well. The counter-offensive proved amazingly successful, but French military skill allowed the Axis forces to halt the advance before they could threaten Smolensk and Riga once again. In the center, the Axis armies launched a new offensive at Moscow, threatening the encirclement of the city once again. However, determined Allied resistance brought the advance to an end, leaving the Axis army battered and weary, forced back to their original lines. Around Tsaritsyn, the numbers of both sides has led to a very expensive draw, as both sides futilely pummel each other's lines with artillery and infantry assaults. Fighting in the region has mostly taken place along the Volga and Don Rivers, as both sides struggle to gain control over the vital waterways.
Casualty List
France: 429 Infantry Brigades, 18 Artillery Brigades, 20 A-39 Brigades, 34 A-42 Brigades, 10 Anti-Tank Brigades, 12 Anti-Air Brigades, 8 CaD88 Brigades, 40 PPDA-41 Squadrons, 30 BP38 Squadrons, 9 PBHA-40 Squadrons

BEHIND AXIS LINES. Berlin, Prussia. Open revolt has begun to erupt throughout the cities and countryside of Germany, as deployed Prussian troops defect to the German Resistance. With increasing amounts of arms and other munitions obtained by the Resistance, the Germans have effectively seized control of large portions of the former German Republic. Thankfully, the Prussians have proved inept or unwilling to combat these forces, as they are usually handily defeated by the German rebels, who have won victory after victory, gravely threatening Axis supply lines to the east. In Greece, the resistance continues to grow, striking at Italian supply lines to Turkey, including a successful attack upon an Italian arms convoy that briefly docked in Athens, leaving the ships in ruin in the city harbor.
Casualty List
France: 2 Infantry Brigades
Prussia: 34 Infantry Brigades (not counting defections)
Republic of Italy: 3 Infantry Brigades
German Republic: 20 Infantry Brigades
NIJERIAN FRONT. Christiansburg, Danish Empire. Fighting in most of Africa continues to be mostly subdued this year as the Danes continue to struggle against the Nijeria First Movement and minor French raiding attacks. The Nijerians have continued to escalate their efforts against the Danish Empire, destroying bridges and raiding supply posts, causing much logistical interruption. The French have not made any significant headway into the Danish possession, but have launched several smaller raids, providing support and supply to the Nijerian rebels. The Nijerians have still continued to call for immediate Danish evacuation, and have continued to radicalize their demands as support for the Allied cause seems to diminish internationally.
Casualty List
France: 2 Infantry Brigades, 3 Cavalry Brigades, 1 Artillery Brigade, 2 PPDA-38 Squadrons
Danish Empire: 6 Infantry Brigades, 4 Cavalry Brigades, 1 Anti-Air Brigade, 2 Panzer IV Brigades, 2 Tyr-1 Squadrons
TURKISH FRONT. Ankara, occupied Turkish Sultanate. The Allies have launched a renewed offensive this year in Asia Minor as Russian forces arrive to reinforce the struggling Turkish army. The Turks have managed to use this new edge to make several minor advances against the Italian army, but the larger numbers of the Axis forces in the region have allowed for successful counterattacks to contain the advance. In the skies, the Italians have begun to turn the tides with a massive influx of planes and support, fighting in the air to push back the Turkish planes. As on the ground, no decisive winner can be seen in the air as both Allied and Axis fighters struggled for control throughout the whole of the year without result. The probable upcoming Russian withdrawal from the war and the continuing stalemate have caused many Turks to doubt the validity of the war, and many feel that a negotiated peace may well be needed with the Republic of Italy.
Casualty List
Republic of Italy: 95 Infantry Brigades, 40 Mountain Brigades, 5 Anti-Tank Brigades, 41 PPDA-41 Squadrons
Turkish Sultanate: 48 Infantry Brigades, 4 Artillery Brigades, 2 Anti-Tank Brigades, 8 Anti-Air Brigades, 3 D-4100 Brigades, 37 AS-124 Squadrons
Russian Federation: 102 Infantry Brigades, 10 Artillery Brigades
UPRISING IN INDIA. Delhi, India. The rallying call of Udham Singh, India's primary voice of independence, the Indian people have banded together in a surprise move against French authority. Assembling the various national movements, and seizing lightly guarded French armories throughout the northern parts of India, a new independent Republic of India has been established out of Delhi. Singh has called for the full expulsion of the French government out of India, and has assembled an apparently formidable army from the masses. Decrying French oppression and calling for the Indian people to acknowledge the fight for freedom, the new Indian government has launched a full scale uprising through much of the north. The French government has immediately deployed fresh troops to bolster garrisons in the region, but the sheer size of the uprising and the need for troops in Europe has prevented a full-scale response against the revolt. Historically, this marks the first major revolt in French India, since the Islamic purges of the middle and late nineteenth century.
Casualty List
France; 11 Infantry Brigades, 2 Artillery Brigades
India: 22 Infantry Brigades
WAR IN THE WESTERN PACIFIC. Taipei, Swedish Empire. The Republic of the Netherlands has launched a long awaited move against the Korean Empire, revitalizing their military after their humiliating defeat in the Japanese islands. The first action was the successful capture of the Portuguese base in China known as Macao and the sister city not far away owned by the Korean Empire. The local garrisons were easily overwhelmed by the Dutch naval and military forces, with only minor losses for the Allied force. The Allied army and navy then moved against Formosa, once again handily destroying the Korean garrison, with only minor losses, restoring that island to the control of the Swedish Empire. The next move was to assault Portuguese-held Karlso, in order to stage a major attack upon Korean shipping around the Korean peninsula. Aware of the island's strategic significance, the Korean navy and part of the air force were deployed to assist in the Portuguese defense against Dutch attack. The Battle of Okinawa is the first battle to date where neither side's main naval force came within sight of the other before the battle was over. The new Dutch carriers proved amazingly effective and their air corps managed to inflict an overwhelming victory against the remnants of the Korean navy. With the utter destruction of the Korean surface fleet once again, the Dutch marines managed to take Karlso with little difficulty, restoring a strong foothold for action in the Japanese islands. Other minor naval skirmishes took place between Korean submarines and Dutch destroyers throughout the region, but intensive training and doctrine by the Dutch fleet has developed strong countermeasures against submarines, assisting in the thwarting of the Korean submersible threat.
Casualty List
Korean Empire: 5 Infantry Brigades, 20 Destroyers, 8 Light Cruisers, 2 Heavy Cruisers, 2 Battlecruisers, 1 Caesar-class Battleship, 11 LR Submarines, 4 PPDA-41 Squadrons, 3 BP38 Squadrons, 4 PHBA-40 Squadrons, 2 Dragon Zeppelins, 2 Phoenix Squadrons, 1 Zeppelin Dreadnought, 2 Zeppelin Bombers
Portugal: 3 Infantry Brigades

Russian Federation: 1 Destroyer
KOREAN FRONT. Seoul, Korean Empire. The heavy fighting of last year was continued in Manchuria and Korea this year as the armies of the Korean Empire and the Russian Federation clashed ever more. The threat of the Korean government to raze Vladivostok was cause for a major Russian offensive to liberate the city, leading to a diversion of resources to crush the Korean forces there. Though the defeat of the Korean army around Vladivostok proved a major victory, the time spent fighting there allowed the Koreans to train and arm more soldiers for the fight in Korea proper. The Russian armies managed to advance deeper into Korea, but north of Seoul, the Koreans struck back, driving the Russians back towards Pyongyang. A brutal stalemate has taken place, as the Koreans run out of firepower and air support, continuously under heavy Russian bombardment. The Koreans have also seen the last sortie of their air corps, as Dutch raids from offshore carriers surprised and destroyed several essential airfields and aircraft factories behind the front lines.
Casualty List:
Korean Empire: 510 Infantry Brigades, 13 Cavalry Brigades, 3 Mountain Brigades, 22 Artillery Brigades, 7 Anti-Air Brigades, 6 Anti-Tank Brigades, 3 A-35 Brigades, 6 A-39 Brigades, 6 A-42 Brigades, 4 PPDA-38 Squadrons, 6 PPDA-41 Squadrons, 4 BP38 Squadrons, 3 PHBA-40 Squadrons

1948 OLYMPICS CONFIRMED. Geneva, Switzerland. The International Olympic Committee has confirmed that the 1948 Olympic Games will continue as scheduled and they have selected and appropriate city for the vision of global unity that is the Games. Saint Augustine, the capitol of neutral Florida, has been chosen, and the games are slated to take place on the outskirts of the city, a beacon of stability on the North American continent for years. The end of the wars in the Americas has provided many with the hope that the World Wars will altogether be over by 1948 and that the Olympic Games will see a resurgence since the onset of the terrible global conflict. The International Olympic Committee has also confirmed that preparations are being made for determining the city for the 1952 Olympics, considering a variety of choices based on the recent developments in Europe. Whether much of Europe will be excluded from potential selection remains undetermined, as it is unclear whether the continent will be ready to host such an event in the wake of the World Wars.

@Nestea Oreo: Your Kommando spending could not be done because you had 29 EP, not 30.
@Slim_Shady: 20 EP may seem like a lot to you, but it really isn't. Take a look at the costs of the Ordenz Project or China's Reconstruction Project to see a lot of spending. EP can't just buy developing, that's something that takes place over an extended period of time and progress, especially in a large scale. Patience is what I recommend for you.
@Skizzik, if you're still out there. You may choose either the Fox, Sauk, or Isanti if they strike your interest, otherwise, I'd recommend sending me a private message and we'll find something new for you outside of the Algonquin Nation.
This should be the last three-poster I believe, or so I hope.
