ECONOMIC REPORT. Tsarityn, Russian Federation. The collapse of much of the Americas into brutal and unfettered combat has led to a continuing decline of the global economy. Other issues remain in different nations over the change in the global situation, as tensions continue to rise in Asia and Europe and international trade becomes increasingly less protected, both physically and financially. Though the downturn may not appear as great on the following chart, some details have not been recorded due to the confusion of several national collapses.

QUEBEC FINDS STRONG LEADERS. Quebec City, Quebec. Quebec has been a singularly fortunate nation with the outbreak of war in North America. They began the conflict with a dearth of strong leaders or commanders for their military, all branches. The Quebecois have managed to assemble not only officers and leaders from the Great War, returning from retirement as well as a number of volunteer officers from France and other Francophone nations. Whatever the cause, the number of skilled officers within the Quebecois military have proven to have dramatically increased, raising the overall quality of their armed forces. LOUISIANA ELECTIONS. New Orleans, Empire of Louisiana. The raging war to the west has dominated elections in the Empire of Louisiana this year, as communist forces drove into Texas after the catastrophic defeat of allied forces in the region. The fear of conquest has rallied the people of Louisiana against the common threat of socialist dominion. The Conservative Party has vowed to protect the nation and avenge the defeats inflicted by the United Collectives in Texas. They have received incredible support from the Louisianan people, gaining the largest majority in the nations history of elections as an independent nation. (+1 Stability)
PENNSYLVANIA ELECTIONS. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The outbreak of full scale war between the remnants of the United Nation States of America and the United Collectives of North America has had a dominant effect on the nation of Pennsylvania. A large number of people have called for Pennsylvanian intervention in the conflict, providing aid and assistance for their former allies. Despite this, the Conservative Party has maintained a platform of neutrality, vowing not to be embroiled in a futile war, though some of their supporters have stated beliefs that they have only agreed to this under pressure by the strong support for the Socialist Party. Though the Conservatives have won the election, they have only been able to get agreement to continue to suppress French unrest in New Jersey, as the Socialist Party gains majority in the nations Congress. (-1 Stability)
VIOLENCE CONTINUES IN DESERET. Bringhamton, Deseret. Various secular and Mormon militia leaders indulged in further fighting throughout the nation of Deseret this year. The Young government continues to seem powerless in the wake of this ongoing militia war, though the deployment of the military later in the year seems to have altered this course. The troubles of the ongoing war around them, seem to have encouraged the government to take an active step in the stabilization of their nation. The official national military seems to be acting in favor of the secular militias, though they have refused to recognize any authority those militias may possess. (-11 Infantry Brigades)
REVOLT THRIVES IN NEW JERSEY. Trenton, Pennsylvania. The deployment of ever larger Pennsylvanian forces to the French province of New Jersey has continued to agitate underground resistance movements. The amount of bombings and attacks nearly doubled this year against Pennsylvanian leaders and buildings. The turmoil in the region has led to the flight of much of the nations English-speaking residents, who have been virtually forced out by their French neighbors. Some have alleged a link between the attacks in New Jersey to the radical New Yorker independence group known as the Yankees, but no proof has solidified as of yet. A pitched battle was actually fought against a Pennsylvanian division in the countryside, and the rebels successfully smashed the government forces in a surprise victory. (-2 Infantry Brigades)
CRISIS IN VIRGINIA. Charleston, Kingdom of Carolina. Outrage over policies from Richmond have brought about a major crisis within the Virginian Empire. The recent passing of further negro rights laws, particularly the outrageous admittance of blacks into the military, have caused the Conservative Party to believe that they no longer have a purpose within the larger empire. The leaders of the conservatives have denounced the Unity Party and Liberals for their use of the northern states to dominate the ones of the south. The states of Franklin, Kentucky, and Carolina have announced their secession from the Virginian Empire, announcing the formation of the Greater Kingdom of Carolina. They have brought in as king another cousin of the House of Lee, claiming further that the right of the House of Rockefeller did not possess the right to rule their nation. The reestablishment of the Carolinian monarchy has sparked turmoil within the military and nation. Carolinian and Kentuckian units have been recalled from the fronts against the communists to be pulled back to defend the nation against aggression. The discussion of the pull backs will be discussed in depth in the wartime section below. The Carolinian government has made the statement that they are for the war against the United Collectives, but the foolhardy activities of the Richmond government have proven to be too destructive to follow. They have offered to join the war if the Virginian government officially recognizes the new Carolinian monarchy. In the meantime, they have vowed to retain their forces for security until the illegitimate monarchy sees reason. This secession has sparked further issues in the north, as the Miami autonomous region mobilizes the militia. They have called this as a move for defense against the dangerous conservatives of the south.
THE GREAT AMERICAN WAR. Saint Augustine, Florida. The war between the International Socialist Cooperative Group and the Republic of New England expanded dramatically this year with the entry of the remnants of the United Nations States of America into the conflict. The Texan Republic, the Empire of Louisiana, the Swedish Empire, the Algonquin Nation, and the Virginian Empire have all joined the Republic of New England in their fight against the United Collectives of North America and the Socialist Union of South America. Despite the influx of support, the war seems to have gone disastrously wrong for the allied nations, as the war begins to intensify to numbers never before seen on the American continents. To truly reflect the scale of this conflict, a special section has been provided below detailing each front from the seas of Hawaii to the plains of Texas, and to the freezing wastes of the northern Metis Syndicate.
SPECIAL: The Great American War
WAR IN CANADA. Toronto, Canada. Allied forces in Canada have launched a renewed offensive against the Peoples Republic and its socialist backers. The initial successes of the Algonquin and Texans to the south have made sure that supplies have been reaching the north with increasing infrequency and delay. Combined with a massive assault on multiple front, the socialist cause has been decisively reduced to an irregular conflict in the northern parts of the region. The westernmost of these attacks came from the Algonquin nation as Virginian troops, supported by limited Algonquin aid, rampaged into the town known as Thunder Bay to the English speaking states on the Great Lakes. The Metis Syndicate struggled to hold back the assault with limited SUSA reinforcements arriving, but the sheer weight of the attack and the quality of the Virginian troops made it a futile effort. The wild success of the operation led to the crushing of most organized Metis forces throughout the south and Winnipeg was occupied with little difficulty by the Virginian military. The remnants of the Metis and their allies have fled to the north, mostly across the Missinipi River, hoping to evade vicious Virginian ground and aerial attack. Slightly further east, a combined force of Chicagoans and New Englanders landed at the communist Canadian capitol of Sudbury, smashing the minor Great Lakes fleet and capturing the city against minimal resistance. This shattered communist leadership in the east as the main attacks began, though some fighting did take place as the attackers ran into resting SUSA and UCNA troops. In the bloodiest part of the theater the Dent government in Canada has signed a temporary truce with Quebec and the Republic of New England in order to first defeat the communists. A massive assault was launched by the forces of five nations against the socialist lines, and under the superior numbers and suffering from supply difficulties, the socialist armies collapsed. The remnants of the Peoples Republican army have fled into the north, much as the Metis have further west.

FIGHTING IN CUBA. Havana, Cuba. Cuban forces, vengeful against last years attacks and persistent air raids against Havana and central Cuba, launched an offensive of their own this year to retake De La Juventud from the local United Collectives garrison. The fighting began after a dogged air war between Jamaica and Cuba for the first few months of the year, as the Cubans quickly gained air superiority for the upcoming attack. The offensive was successful and the minor socialist garrison on the island was soon overwhelmed. Though Juventud fell, air attacks continued against Cuba, with less fighter cover from bases on Jamaica. The Cuban army air corps fought well against the attacks, safely driving enemy forces from the skies even before the air fields on Jamaica were taken by Allied forces.

SCOURING OF JAMAICA. Kingston, occupied Jamaica. The most vicious battle in the Caribbean was fought between the armies of the International Socialist Cooperative Group and the nations of Sweden and Cuba on the island of Jamaica. After haphazard bombing by Swedish planes based in Cuba, an artillery shelling from a New Englander Titan-class Battleship and supporting Cuban vessels devastated Jamaican beach fortifications and artillery placements. The allied forces were fortunately able to gain a strong beachhead by April this year. The socialists fought brutally town by town through the whole island and the Cubans and Swedes bled heavily through the whole offensive. The island was eventually secured by the allied forces by the end of the year, but only after incredible devastation and human cost. The Cuban government has reported that it appears over half of the prewar Jamaican population has been killed or gone missing as a result of the war, promising occupation in order to help the reconstruction of the battered island.

THE TEXAN COLLAPSE. Dallas, occupied Texas. In the hopes of strategically surprising the military of the United Collectives of North America, the allied states assembled a considerable army of Swedes, Louisianans, and Texans along the UCNA-Texas border in preparation for the devastation of the central heartland of Mexico. The army attacked, running into the waiting arms of a fresh UCNA army, which trounced and destroyed a large part of the advance. Planes ambushed the attacking Swedish bombers, sending the light bombers down with barely any effort. The ferocity of the counter attack which followed destroyed any order remaining in the allied army, and Dallas was unaware of the change in circumstances until artillery flashes could be seen aimed at the city. By the end of the year, most of Texas has been overrun, as the country is on the brink of collapse. The Louisianan army has pulled back across the border to regroup after their catastrophic defeat and the Swedish bases were overrun and the planes destroyed to prevent capture by the communists.

ALONGQUIN SUCCESS AND FAILURE. Fox Falls, Algonquin Nation. The Algonquin Nation was one of many which joined in the war against the United Collectives of North America. They strove to cut the single railroad line which ran between the Collectives and the Metis Syndicate, thus severing all socialist support for the Canadian socialists cause. They proved to be successfully, overwhelming UCNA forces along the border with little resistance and pushing on to the Missouri River. The assault stopped there until socialist forces, spearheaded by marines, pushed forward when the river began to freeze during winter. The Algonquin, poorly trained and without any anti tank or air equipment were quickly devastated by the professional socialist army. The territory was promptly taken back as the UCNA drove to restore the vital rail link the northeast.

United Collectives of North America: 20 Infantry Brigades, 2 Artillery Brigades
Socialist Union of South America: 2 Infantry Brigades
Algonquin Nation: 76 Infantry Brigades
INVASION IN MEXICO. Vera Cruz, United Collectives of North America. New Englander troops made a surprise move against the United Collectives, hitting the main socialist naval base in the Atlantic Ocean. The devastation caused upon the facilities was enough to send the people running, but the naval bombardment was followed by a massive invasion. New England forces defeated local garrison troops and launched a brisk march towards Mexico City. The socialist government met the advance at several locations and ultimately halted them. This was followed by a quick assault on Vera Cruz from both north and south, capturing the city and encircling a large New Englander army deep within Mexico. Though they attempted to break through to the navy, they were incapable of doing so and had little choice but to surrender, after destroying any weapons or gear which could have been of use to the Mexican army. During the battle, numerous air raids were made against the New Englander fleet, successfully destroying several light vessels as well as one of the new Eclipse-class battleships.

PACIFIC WAR. Panama City, Republic of New England. Naval fighting has started this year in the eastern parts of the Pacific Ocean. Minor clashes between allied and socialist ships have taken place as allied submarines strike at convoys and supply vessels coming from South America to aid the besieged United Collectives of North America. Destroyers and other light vessels have attempted to contain the threat within reach of Chilean and Mexican naval bases, but a major gap remains between the Galapagos and the Mexican southern safe harbor of Acapulco. Submarines from a variety of nations act with near impunity as they rest under the protection of Virginian and New Englander surface fleets.
CARIBBEAN WAR. Caracas, Venezuela. Naval conflict has become more irregular this year as no major surface engagements take place. All fighting has become ship to ship as socialist and allied submarines and escort vessels clash for control. The biggest event of the year was a raid upon New Orleans harbor by several United Collectives light ships, including both destroyers and submarines. The port was devastated and the sub pens were the hardest hit, as over a dozen were caught in harbor undergoing resupply and repair. Other, less spectatular battles have taken place on a daily basis as with the collapse of the Empire of Haiti, theres very little neutral shipping in the region remaining as everyone and everything becomes a target for marauding submarines.

Empire of Louisiana: 10 MR Submarines, 11 LR Submarines
Cuba: 1 Destroyer, 1 Submarine
