A Brave New World Part 2

OOC: I'm under the impression that the Virginians gassed Métis civilian populations suspected to be holding Syndicalist Insurgents... EQ, is this correct?

OOC: Jason was talking about in Louisiana. We wouldn't care if we gassed Commie civilians. :P

OOC: Respectfully the whole speech was not churchills, there was just that snippet that i thought was suitable... so there ya go.

OOC: I figured you knew as much but given the connotations of that speech I figured it needed saying.

OOC: but for the record, no, I didn't target Metis civilians.

OOC: For the record I never explicitly targeted civilians either. Shtuff happens.

EDIT: Haha just kidding yes I did.

Agreed.

This war started when UCNA and SUSA chose to support the so called "People's Republic of Canada" and further exacerbate the Canadian civil war. New England and Virginia and those who fight with us are fighting this war to ensure such happenings do not arise in our own nations, or those of our neighbors.

Why should the Algonquin be annexed? You hold none of their territory, and they have made great advances into your own country. Your forces in Louisiana are being attacked on four sides and will not be able to hold out for long, which will completely cut off any hope you have of resupplying your forces in Mississippi. The people of Louisiana and Texas have shown that they reject the "Communist cause" and do not wish for it to be oppressed upon them, yet you continue to occupy and they will continue to fight you, causing you no end of trouble. You will not be able to manage the regions you occupy in Texas and Louisiana without killing the entire civilian population out of hand, which would not be very benevolent of you and would gain you nothing. Every inch you advance, you will continue to face staunch resistance from both military personnel and civilians.

This war has cost all of us much already. We are offering fair terms. If you choose to continue this war of aggression, we will simply bleed you dry as you have to fight your way across the continent of North America against people defending their homelands from the Communist horde. Your nation will suffer massive casualties and have very little to show for it, save millions of deaths and untold amounts of destruction, as we have shown that we are more than willing of inflict.

So it's alright for New England and Virginia to involve themselves in Canada splintering and causing chaos in the North but when the UCNA supports a people requesting assistance its cause to turn the entirety of North America into a battlefield. We would like to remind New England that she supported a Canadian government that does not exist in any form at this moment. The Nationalists are just as likely to fight New England as they Quebec considering Quebec is a New English protectorate.

At the same time no warning of any attack was given. Niether Texas, Louisiana, Virginia, New England or Sweden informed us of their intentions. Had diplomacy been used this war would have been completely avoidable.

The people of North America are not against the cause. Considering New England's concern about a similar revolution occurring within its own borders it would seem to the UCNA that the people of North America desire liberation by the hand of Communism.

The UCNA has not demanded the entirety of the Algonquin be annexed. Just the region up to the Mississippi. This will ensure that our armies can support the Metis in the event of future aggression from the East. The Mississippi will also provide a strong defensive positions for both sides ensuring security for both the Algonquin and UCNA. The Algonquin position is unstable and ready for defeat. As the armies of Europe withdraw to deal with their own conflicts. Gas attacks against civilian populations is only strengthening our cause as the people of North America see the true barbarity of the nations of the East.

We are willing to modify our demands to the following which we feel are beyond reasonable given the circumstances of this war.

1. The Metis is given independence with its prewar government in power. 3 EP will be payed to the Metis republic to pay for the damage done to the Metis economy and its people.

2. The UCNA will do what it pleases with Texas.(Whether this be annex, puppet or independence)

3. UCNA forces will withdraw from Louisiana allowing the nation to return to prewar borders.

4. The UCNA will annex lands from the Algonquin up to the Mississippi river to ensure a strong defensive position is held from both sides in the event of a war in the future.

5. The UCNA will receive 5 EP Total from New England and Virginia to assist in rebuilding and compensating damage done to the UCNA and its people.

OOC: Sorry but im a bit lost who is alligned to who in this war of backstabbing and civilian massacres?

The UCNA believes the French government has overdosed on opium. France last year systematically wiped out a part of the Allied Coalition. This combined with Georgian treachury makes it clear that no such coalition exists and will probably ever exist.

We also do not take French threats seriously. We've sunk your navy before and we'll do it again if needed. France is better left to its strengths baking croissant's and conquering European nations than attempting to reassert itself in the Americas.

Then tend to the wounds dealt you by French arms, Georgian steel, and Virginian shot and say again thou art not faced by the might of the world.

The European coalition accounted for less than 5% of the allied fighting force on the continent. Do not believe that the war in Europe is some sort of reprieve for your army.

We will consider your treaty through more private channels.

Speech made by the Greek President on the invasion of Greece

Gentlemen of the Senate,

We are called here today to discuss the largest threat the country has faced in its history. As I speak, the Earth teeters on a knife-edge. Across the world, tyrants and dictators have seized power in their respective countries and quenched the torch of freedom and left democracy for the crows to pick at. Fear of the State is normal now for large parts of the world, as dissenters “disappear” and the police become judge, jury and executioner.

The traditions of democracy are nearly as old as Greece herself and it should be no surprise to anybody sat here today that we intend to defend Greece against these ideologies. Greece must defend freedom, defend democracy and defend ourselves against those who wish us ill.

Even as I speak, the Italians are attempting to invade our proud country, to attempt to enslave our people to the Axis war machine. They must be stopped, stopped at all costs, at whatever cost. Greece shall not rest. The rivers shall run red with Axis blood and for every Allied soldier killed, we will kill ten from the Axis. For these creatures are not men, they are like the horrors from the dark depths of hell and we must scour the land of this filth to prevent its poison spreading.

Remember Gentlemen, there liars, damned liars and Frenchmen. Nothing that comes from the mouth of a Frenchman is spoken straight; no truth can pass a Frenchman’s lips. These days of infamy will live on in the memories of the people for generations and when the peoples of the world look back at our struggle, they will call it our finest hour.

The nature of your backstabbing upon us, after you called for help against the communists, only makes you the guilty party twice; once for not doing what you had said you would do, and twice for attacking us when we weren't even planning on attacking you. Denmark would also like to see this "evidence" about the EAN having so many Socialists in its midst, as us, who are fairly among the most honest people in the world (and you French must be very low in that list), have never seen that kind of behaviour among our friends.

As many others have said, why would have we confraternized with the Socialists when we would have helped attack them?

EDIT: OOC: Lord Milarqui? Who was the ***** that created that?

To: Denmark
From: France

Oh? And what will you do when you have your evidence, that it is we as you say who are guilty? Will you win the war? Not likely. Force is law; might makes right.

Don't say it too loudly, or Russia might hear that.

Russia's a liberal democracy, not a fascist state. They wouldn't believe it if they heard it.
