    I'm sure everyone have wanted to comment on something in the Call for Meta thread, but not wanting to clutter the thread with spam, stayed their hand.
    Well lucky for you I've decided to give you a thread to discuss things, even if the chance that the original poster will see anything is slim. Here you can vent your frustrations!

    Candi is the Indonesian Garden, the building you're looking for is the Ethiopian Monument, Stele.
    Tea Pavillion never gave +0.5 food per pop, it is currently and have always been 0.25 food per pop (same as the watermill). The text on it was wrong some versions ago and claimed it gave 0.5 food per pop

    The Musketeer receives an extra 4 CS over a normal musket man, along with a 'unique' promotion that provides +15% CS when attacking, +1 movement and the ability to ignore Zone of Control.

    The Dutch UA have already been changed. It is actually bordering on garbage now because of how luxury are located on the map (You only get a bonus for the first copy of every luxury you trade a away)

    Thanks for pointing it's Stele, I'll correct it there. About tea Pavilion it's really giving 0.5 food per pop, I realized that in all my games with China and I just check in game now (in the food tooltip of city screen, it says "0.5 extra food from pop" in a city with only one pop and without watermill). Tea Pavilion has a bug in this description or code, I'll point it in bug reports again (maybe G doesn't get it when I reported before or is just waiting for the next version).

    Did you also have a watermill? Because that one also adds 0.25 food.

    EDIT: Nevermind you're right the civpedia text and the building description are still wrong. It does indeed provide 0.5 food per citizen, guess that's going in the bug-report.

    I didn't. I edited to point that. I also test with watermill, it raise to 0.75.

    Yeah. NQ mod works best on Quick with a few friends. The AI is just unsavable for most modders, though. Gazebo has us spoiled.

    NQ mod is not playing nicely with EUI right now, though; fair warning.

    NQ mod is, I imagine, built on whoward's DLL. That's my assumption based on a few of its claimed 'fixes' (I don't like it when modders claim something they did as theirs, when the work was done by someone else. Probably because I'm a historian and plagiarism is evil!)

    Looks like a nice attempt at fiddling with knobs, but that's not what the CBP is about. The name - Community Balance Patch - is misleading. Probably should've called it the Community Overhaul, but hindsight is 20/20. :)

    Actually I was using numbers from my latest post-nerf game. It isn't as grossly OP like before, but I still feel it's too much. That isn't even counting polders or their UU; not to say those are OP but they add to the overall strength of the Dutch. I've got a few dozen screenshots from that game throughout the Eras if you want to see why they are still too OP.

    That's only my opinion though. I'm not claiming to be correct or the absolute authority on the subject. :king:

    Well, either way 1000 culture is impossible :D
    The UAs power varies greatly with the mapsize (and with more luxuries) as well, I'm really not liking the way it is turning out.

    By the way, speaking of their UU, I love how it is never brought up as an OP or even good unit, I've ever heard people claiming it is the worst UU in the game.
    I mean it starts with 4 extra promotions, 1 of them being unique, as well as an extra +2 CS. Don't get me wrong, I don't even think it is useful, I don't even remember the last time I built one as all of my Netherlands games have been non-coastal.

    That's because it isn't bad at all. It also comes early, so I build many of them and always use my giant navy. I think its unique but not powerful. The Polder is the powerful unique!

    Ah, then the Musketeer description is wrong. I remembered I didn't dislike the unit at all, but when I checked the descriptions I was like "oh god thats terrible".

    And yeah the Dutch UA is making me very sad now. It went from scaling well at all points to scaling badly at all points.

    While I hate to call bs on someone, I remember your topic on them and I never saw that many resources on any game in my entire life, you either messed whit the resource rarity or the map script you used/use is broken, try them on vanilla fractal or continents and see how overpowered they are,we cant balance civs based on maps, coastal civs for example are overpowered in island maps and underpowered on pangeas and we will be stuck in an endless loop of buffs and nerfs.

    Deity Atomic Dutch says, "Hello." :goodjob:
    Spoiler :

    The game you're referring to was on Vanilla Earth map, and yes that was a bit borked for whatever reason. The numbers I'm referencing are from my last game which was, as Funak had suggested, Oval - Not-random-personalities - Not-raging-barbarians. I've got about 200 pics from that game because I was going to do an AAR on it but got too lazy. I can show you my beautiful, sucky resource journey as through the Eras with tech, science, gold, culture, etc Info Addict pics plus all the other stuffs. I'm totally cool that you question how legit what I said was, but I came prepared. :D (Edit: just checked, over 600 pics. I hit F12 too much)

    Edit: I forgot that I was only 4200/cpt in that picture because I was doing science build in all my cities, and using Autocracy Ideology, since I had so much GPT that I was able to rush buy every single building in every city, instead of building Arts. Having 300+ production in your capitol city while only working tiles that give 3+ food and specialists is fun. Tradition is OP but that's for another topic.

    Oh, and this is when Shaka owned 23ish cities and before I sent wave after wave of 4+ mech infantry rush-bought every single turn with instant-airport next turn delivery in every city (Thanks Autocracy!) being able to move to the front lines and attack after arriving because I could afford to railroad every single tile as I carved my way into the heart of the Zulus.

    Either that's from the old version, or the UA is bugged, because according to the description it clearly can't get more than the value*era*number of unique luxuries.

    'Era' in atomic is 6
    value is always 2
    that would solve the number of unique luxuries as 1008/(6*2)= 84, and there aren't 84 unique luxuries.

    The function:

    Code:
    int iExport = 0;
    	int iImport = 0;
    	int iTotal = 0;
    	int iEra = GetCurrentEra();
    	if(iEra < 1)
    	{
    		iEra = 1;
    	}
    	//Let's get our total imports/exports
    	for (int iResourceLoop = 0; iResourceLoop < GC.getNumResourceInfos(); iResourceLoop++)
    	{
    		ResourceTypes eResourceLoop = (ResourceTypes) iResourceLoop;
    		CvResourceInfo* pInfo = GC.getResourceInfo(eResourceLoop);
    		// Is it a luxury?
    		if (pInfo && pInfo->getResourceUsage() == RESOURCEUSAGE_LUXURY)
    		{
    			if(getResourceExport(eResourceLoop) > 0)
    			{
    				iExport++;
    			}
    			if(getResourceImport(eResourceLoop) > 0)
    			{
    				iImport++;
    			}
    			else if(getResourceFromMinors(eResourceLoop) > 0)
    			{
    				iImport++;
    			}
    			else if(getResourceSiphoned(eResourceLoop) > 0)
    			{
    				iImport++;
    			}
    		}
    	}
    	if(bExported)
    	{
    		if(GetPlayerTraits()->GetYieldFromExport(eYield) > 0)
    		{
    			iTotal += (iEra * iExport * GetPlayerTraits()->GetYieldFromExport(eYield));
    		}
    	}
    	if(bImported)
    	{
    		if(GetPlayerTraits()->GetYieldFromImport(eYield) > 0)
    		{
    			iTotal += (iEra * iImport * GetPlayerTraits()->GetYieldFromImport(eYield));
    		}
    	}

    Value is 3 not 2. 1008/(6*3)=56. There are 36 unique luxuries in the game. But you're forgetting that the UA still counts both imports from trade and from Allied city states having luxuries. Since the CS is "giving" you a luxury resource, the game considers it an import. Plus it literally says in the description that you get the bonus with Civs and CSes.

    Edit: It doesn't say "unique" in the description. I'm not saying if it should or shouldn't, I'm just saying it isn't in the description whereas you believed it was.

    You're on the pre-fix version, I'm afraid. It definitely says unique in the latest version.

    Oh, well, I've updated since then but I had started and finished this game I guess on the pre-fix version due to the whole not-savefile compatible (which I understand). Time to play another dutch game! :king:

    Edit: For what it's worth, with the new +4 gold UA I'd have even more stupid disposable income than a mere 2k after expenses (I had 1,500g in unit maintenance too, ugh)

    You're safe.... for now

    Except it only works on unique luxuries, meaning all those extra copies you're picking up are useless.

    Correct. As the function above shows, you get +1 to your total bonus (which is then multiplied by era and your trait value) if a luxury is owned, imported, or from a CS, but not all three. And the bonus doesn't care how much you have, only if you have at least 1.

    I have yet to try it out, but it really sounds pretty awful to be honest. Might have to start over from scratch (I know you love that :D). Again this is just speculation, I'll have to do some field-testing.

    Well that clears that up. So, in a theoretical game where I get all 36 luxuries imported, and make it to the Modern era, I'm earning 360 culture ((36*2)*5) and 720 gpt ((36*4)*5). Hmm. I mean sure, I'm not going to be sad with 360 culture for free, but that's maximum ideal circumstances (very rare). But I know that the maps don't spawn with all regular luxuries; I don't mean Polynesia spice or whatever, but I mean you can roll maps that have Gems but not copper, Amber but not Perfume. Does anyone know what the normal "maximum unique luxury spawn" would be?
