I hope the thread doesnt move in a weird direction....
1. Why would the development of Marxism allow...the creation of police stations? What was the thinking here? We need policemen in order to keep the communists under control or something, lol?
2. Depending on where you live, do you ever think that building police stations would...ahem...how to describe it politely....have the opposite outcome than the one in the game? (I am talking about the corruption effect, the WW I can understand)
3. Why would universal suffrage...decrease WW? If any connection can be made between feminist and anti-war political movements, it is going to be a synergy connection, not an antagonistic one.

1. State police perhaps, like Stasi of East Germany, but that is more likd the Secret Police small wonder. I agree, doesn't make much sense in terms of a link.

2. Generally rule of law (and a police to enforce it) = less corruption. I think many people will realise this belatedly in the coming decades. Kickbacks to corrupt police officers are miniscule in value compared to corruption by politicians and businesspeople who are above the law. A handful of individuals can steal a large part on an entire countries wealth. A functioning police service can keep corruption in check so it does not spiral out of control.

3. I think the intention is simply that a female labour force (which likely follows after universal suffrage) makes wartime more feasible in an open society where putting men to the front at gunpoint is not politically practical. I don't think it the wonder is literally meant to be about happyness.
