I had serious trouble since intalling 1.17f so I now played an entire game with the multi-cheat.
It actually helps a lot to see how AI behaviour has changed.
Still I feel I`m extremely unlucky in combat now; but I do understand some of the strange things a little better.
One thing I noticed is that the AI will respond differently when you go for early conquest. Even civ you don`t know yet will speed up settling and military; also techt rding between AI speeds up, and then they gang up on you!
Try it out, it really helps!
