A.I. improvement?

I'm most interested in what A.I. improvements specifically there are with Conquests, as was advertised.

I also noticed that I could load old PTW games with Conquests... Does this mean elements of Conquests can work retroactively with PTW saved games?

Searching around here, you might be able to find threads on specifics. I haven't seen too many specifics, though I can certainly say that the overall quality and intelligence of the AI is quite impressive, especially when compared to the original Civ3. Take that with a grain of salt as I am much more of a casual gamer and haven't the tenacity to get down and dirty at the combat calculation level to see how well the AI pits then.
