I'm having a lot of trouble lately with my pc.
I'm able to go on the internet, but I can't play any games.
When I start a game after a few seconds the pc hangs
and I need to reboot.
Well this happens when I turn on the pc.

- black screen -> after 5 or more times rebooting, windows
finally starts and I can use the pc for a while until it hangs.
- the bios menu hangs sometimes.
- the bios don't recognize one my harddisks.
- windows won't install on another harddisk.
The install menu hangs from the beginning.
- windows media player stucks a few seconds while clicking
another mp3 file.
- a nasty file, don't know which, changes my start up page
This file isn't located in Regedit -> Local_Machine...Run

According to the first four problems I think I might need a new
motherboard,but I'm not sure?Anyone suggestions?

You could try reformatting the computer, and see if that helps. But it sounds like you have worse problems than that when the BIOS menu hangs...

About start up page, try an AV-program. I think there are a bunch of AV-programs with free trial versions you can download.:)

I had simillar problems few months ago. My problem was with my graphics board and memory. Try to change it and see what happens. Then if doesnt work try to change the motherboard.

Update your BIOS.

Once you reinstall everything, get the latest drivers for all your components.

Be happy.

Its very important when updating your BIOS to NOT switch your box off during the process or your comp. is dead. If the worst happens there are tricks to breath life back into it but they are a major pain in the ass.
