A mistake in Conquests regarding Cossacks

I just got Conquests. The first thing I did was check out the Editor to see the attributes of the new civs and units.

While scrolling through the units, I noticed that the Russian UU, the Cossack, was listed at 6.3.3 and cost 90 shields. This is 10 shields more than Cavalry, with exactly the same attributes! Nice UU!!!

It's supposed to be 6.4.3 (one more defense point) at 80 gold (same as Cav).

If you're planning on playing the Russians in Conquest, either mod the .biq file, or plan not to have a viable UU!

This needs to be fixed....

That is awesome! I'll gladly pay an extra 10 gold for a unit that can hit an opponent 3 times!

i think i heard somewhere that you also couldn't upgrade to the cossack (from horseman/knight). has this been fixed in a previous patch or in C3C. thanks in advance (well, hopefully if you answer).

That was fixed in like the first patch of vanilla Civ3 (although it would be annoying if you didn't patch the game).

It actually affected every civ that had a unit upgrade to their uu (Horsemen wouldn't upgrade to Riders, War Elephants or Sammurai).

The Russians are the best civ, and the Cossack is one of the best units. I always play as Russia.

i dunno about the BEST civ, but they are certainly a lot better now...

i think i just don't use scientific all that much, so i'm not very good at it on higher difficulties. since i'm rarely the first one to any new age on emperor, the free tech doesn't help me that much. as for the cheaper libraries...eh. it's nice, but i'm still just not very good at manipulating it to my advantage on higher levels.

Ahhhh, this means that I should rush build them to defend my cities now. Come to think of it, I can't recall ever having used Russia, but I think I'll be giving them a try now. What a cool UU. Better than England's getting the enslavement feature!
