In a recent game of C3C, the Mayans and Aztecs joined forces for the heck of it against me, Germany. So far, the war has been mostly a dud; that is, a once-in-a-while skirmish with long quiet stretches in between, primarily because the warring parties are at some remove from each other, with neutral civilizations making it less than easy to get at each other. Also, it's been roughly even in terms of wins and losses, and the armies are essentially equal.

What's the suggested course of action: wait out those guys until they're tired of it? Contact the parties and see what they want for a peace treaty? Something else?

    Thanks.

If it isn't hurting, wait it out. If you want to change the pot, engineer an alliance with one of the neutrals & let them fight it out. If it's too annoying for words, see if you can get a peace treaty. I wouldn't pay much for it, though.

If there is anyone giving you war happiness, stay at war with that tribe at least.

I wouldn't pay anything to stop a war if I'm ok with it. It could cost you in terms of war weariness.
Try to get a neutral civ involved.
Practice in bombarding units before you kill them - so you don't lose any units but do gain experience.
Figure out if they're good trading partners - maybe a peace would be better in that situation.
But you answered your question yourself. The war is not hurting you so why pay for peace?

I'm in a war now with America - the most far away country. All ever happened was they bombarded my exploring currach with a catapult. That's it.
I find it ok, because now I can explore their shoreline without a RoP. :D
I'm trying to get Russia involved (they are on the same continent as America); but they don't wanna.

You do not need a ROP to explore with a Curragh.

In a Republic, phony wars can really boost happiness, you might be at war for 1000 years and never fight a single battle, meanwhile keeping WLTKD going in lots of cities. You mourn the day when someone else kills off your source of happy juice, or you are forced to do it yourself. I wish someone had a WW/WH calculator in-game, so you wouldn't have to guess. I hate making peace, only to get unhappy citizens.

    Negative WW gives 25% happiness.

So thats one happpiness effect (the same as one lux wthout a market) in a size 4 town, but 3 happiness effect (as if 3 lux without a markt) in a size 12 city.

This is accounted per civ. So if 15 civ declare on you, you'll have 375% happiness. So thats 15 happiness effect in a size 4 town or 45 happiness effect in a size 12 city.

I am not entirely certain, but I think that the max. WH that you can get is 100%. At least that is a conclusion I had to draw from one of my (Vanilla) games lately, where I made five civs DoW me and still did not get more than 100%. So, either the WH caps at 100% or one of those five wasn't giving me WH anymore.

I don't have any personal experience with more than 4 civ declaring on me. Maybe its worth if someone investigated this a bit more.

I didn't know what triggers it.
But I've found it at the main page.

Ah. You get a negative amount of WW points when an AI declares on you (except if triggered by a failed spy mission on your part)

As long as the total amount of WW is negative, you get happiness effect.

I reduces waste (= red shields) in a city as if you build a (second) courthouse.

But only waste, not corruption (= red commerce)

Get alliances against them from other civs near them so they stop annoying you.
