Has anyone ever heard of this? I happened to watch some news clip about "quiet parties", and I have got say, it looks about as much fun as dropping a rock on your foot.

I guess how it works is, you pay a cover charge to get in, have to whisper or write what you want to say to someone, and if you get too loud, bouncers kick you out. Did someone say "fun"?

Apparently, it's in the early stages of hype to become the next big thing.

Now that's a party I want to visit, not....
I like to have some music to listen to when I'm going out. I do feel they've got some point, when I go to a bar to talk with friends we always end up in some dull bar because in all the bars where young people go, the music is too loud to have a normal conversation. However when I want to party and drink I'm perfectly happy to have loud music.

They have these all over the place. They're called libraries, and you generally don't pay to get in. Now, about the serving of alcohol. . . well, that would be worth the cover charge.

Seriously. . . why not? Different Strokes for Different Folks, I always say.

That sounds incredible boring. A club with no music, talking etc?

    This is good:
 Sounds like school… The horror, the horror…

It would be worth checking out. I prefer house parties to clubs because clubs are often too loud to make decent conversation... But this seems pretty extreme.

I'd give this party a go. At least it's an alternative to the norm. I like talking to people without having to scream down their lug-holes.

That scene's been around forever. It's called the library.

I wonder if the traditional club fights are done by ‘notes’ too. :D
