Good to see game speed improve but still well short of what is required to maintain long term interest.
Yes, and the problem with pbem tracker made the things worse!
Hi guys! As admin of the game, I decided to stablish a new rule. We must continue to upload the files to pbemtracker, thus we can monitor more easily who has the turn, and how much time everyone is spending to play.
So, please, next turns, everyone, besides to sent the files by e-mai, must to upload them to pbemtracker.
Let's see if this procedure can contribute to a faster game.
I thought the tracker was broken?
It is. It won't send the game, but it'll still update the page and send the email warning to the player. Thus we'll be able to see whose turn is in an easier way.
Unfortunately I have no idea how to get into PBEMtracker right now... but I can tell everyone I just forwarded the next turn to psza just now.
You just have to send the file (upload) to pbemtracker as you was doing before.
So, who has the next turn?
We have to establish some method to control the turns and the time to play them. We can to send it to pbemtracker as we was doing before, or we can to notify in this thread every time we send the saves.
Just to send to the next player by email isn't being an efficient method!
I tentitively think the pbem tracker website may be back up again ...
Continuing this decetive work:
I received turn BC4635
And sent it on to Imp Knoedel 04/08/2016.
I have now uploaded this turn to pbem tracker.
Let's play Civ!!!
AMERICAN ODYSSEY CHRONICLES - 4635 BC
The Year is 4635 BC. I have now 1365 years old. 630 years have passed since the return of the squad of scouts. My people finally overcame the trauma resulting the losses due to the combats against barbarians of northwest.
During that time, travelers brought rumors of a new belief on distant and unknown lands. Kemetism, they said, is the new and true religion.
We don't know anything about that curious belief.
After several years of training and experiments, we managed to tame a herd of elephants to north of Washington, and now we can manage their reproduction. With that, we have implemented the food production, and the commerce around all the region of Washington. The Ivory and the flesh provided by the elephant camps are very valuable.
I ordered a new squad of scouts to explore the unknown lands to southwest of Washington. They encountered the borders of the legendary city of Athens, house of the old Gods. The envoys was received by a squad of Greek Javelineers, that told us about the death of his leader, Kruver. A young new leader came to the power. PSZA is his name. The greek people looks excited with the new government.
We mapped almost all the safe lands of south and center region of the African Continent.
The lands of the northwest remain unexplored. It looks there are intense barbarian activities around all the region. At least, two more barbarian cities besides the city of Cherokee. We must be prepared to future hordes of that bloody people.
I, Phylhom, leader of American People, close this historic registry.
Washington, 4635 BC.
Well, we can't wait indefinitely for Knoedel's turn. PSZA, please, send me the save. My wife will play it. Thus, the game will run again.
Have you tried contact him through PM?
I am sorry, I don't even have a good excuse, I have just been sucked into a temporal vortex and spent the last two weeks playing Civ5 12 hours a day, every day.
I wish I could do this kind of thing once in a while [emoji31]
GPS turn to Mandritto.
At current pace, real life civilisation will have ended before this game even gets near Space Launch. Lol.
Of course in the meantime, one civ could rule all.
Yes, the game is running very slowly!
The pbem tracker shows it is Imperator Knoedel's turn.
