Got snow when you shouldn't? Don't have snow when you should? Talk all about it here.

Personally, I shouldn't have snow right now (one of those odd places in Canada), but I do!

There was another thread on this...but what the hell. There's normally a chance of snow here now....and there may be if we ever get precipitation with the coming cold and freezing snap we're getting into right now.

Last winter wasn't good. We did get snow when we really shouldn't (mid-April) and a lot of it (two feet in my area).

It's been suspiciously quiet since our November snowfalls. Then again, we have gotten rain, and our normal temperature is right around 40 or so degrees....which makes it more likely rain than snow.

Oh, I didn't know that there was already a snow thread. I just kinda started this one because I was thinking about the unusually high amount of snow we've had so far here in Victoria BC (if you can call 10cm unusually high). Now, of course, I do live in a city that counts flower buds during the first week in February just so we can piss the rest of Canada off...

But, because the Search function actually doesn't function, I wouldn't have known about previous snow threads.

Last time we had snow here...

Well, must be in the early 90s...
And it doesn't seem we'll got this year.

Ah, perhaps next year, then ^^

Here in Victoria we are spoiled most of the year. Our winters are mild and green (except right now). We may get one or two snowy days a year but are currently getting dumped on by mother nature. I'm sure things will right themselves and when I wake up the rain will have washed all the snow away and it will all seem like a bad dream.

I saw snow for the first time this year (in the Sth Island of NZ) and even that was as a result of a freak (but fun :) ) cold streak. It's never snowed where I live in the North Island.

Here in San Diego, they sometimes have this so-called "snow" trucked in from a far-away mountain so little kids can slide down a hill. Otherwise, I haven't seen a flake fall from the sky in over ten years. Basically, it was warm and sunny today.

there isn't so much snow in Switzerland right now. Sure, you can ski on the mountains but in plains it's still green and grey.

It can be seen sometimes on a nearby mountain, and I mean while miles away from it, but it doesn't snow down here.

It could be worse. When I lived in Upstate New York there was so much lake effect snow that sometimes we would have to shovel the roof so it wouldn't collapse. On the other hand it could be better, by March I usually have plans to move. Then spring comes and they are quickly forgotten.

In the Netherlands the land is averagely covered with snow for one to two weeks every year. We've had two days, but now it's much too warm. We'll probably see some more by the end of this month. ;) You never know.
