Greetings all, I have a question regarding cities that I hope some kind person will sort out for me.

I have gained a few foreign cities in the progress of the game I'm in at the moment. Most of them have deffected to me because of my highly cultured nation ;) and some of them are not exactly in the best place (either bad terrain or more annoyingly, clashing with my existing ones), so my question is can you remove a city once it is under your control?
If I remember correctly in CivII you could run down a city and then build a settler which would dispand the city. I tried this but the production was halted by the game.
I know you can raze a city captured by force, but when they flip sides due to culture you can either accept or rebuff them but not remove them (logical I suppose).
Any Ideas?

Thanks. ANDYTFB.

You need to run down the city by building workers and/or settlers. Make sure that the food production box is set to "no growth" or "shortage" by moving your laborers in the city screen so they produce less food or make them specialists. When the city builds that last settler or worker and their is no growth or worse the unit will be made and the city disbanded.
