First of all apologies if this is posted in the wrong place. I'm new to these forums so go easy on me.
After much battling I've finally got Civ IV to work on my pc, unfortunately I keep getting illegal operations when trying to run the game using the 1.61 patch so I'm having to use the 1.52 patch.
This is a bummer because it means I can't fire up a custom map and still have the ability to change game options, which I understand you can now do in the 1.61 patch?
Ideally I want to play one of the communities huge world maps with only the conquest option selected. I don't like playing the game with every method of victory allowed, I feel it takes too much out of your hands.
So, in short is there any way to fire up a community map with only the 'Victory by conquest' box ticked? I assume theres some manual method using a config file or something?
