A question about editing units_32.pcx

So do I. But you can get to them with MSpaint, if you change the Files Type to 'All Files'.
But...er...I just discovered that you can't save them as .pcx files.
Sorry for the misinformation!.

But I've just had a thought. There are a lot of new player created animations avaiable lately, but each one needs to be added to the units_32.pcx file, and not everybody has access to Paintshop Pro. So they are left with the situation of having one new units_32 build file or another, but can't combine them.

So then, would it be a good idea if somebody started a sticky thread in the Units Forum with an up to date units_32 file with all these new units on it? When animators create a new unit they could post a small picture to this thread, which would then be added to this 'common' units_32 file. Of couse, not everybody wants all the new units, but that's not a problem. They can just pick the build picture they want when they add a new unit to their game and ignor the rest.

Any thoughts?

Everyon has access to paint shop pro. It's shareware, and at least the version that I use allows you to continue using it after the trial period wears out.

I use MSPaint all the time, but you have to convert the PCX file to BMP format (and vice-versa) first. I use Irfanview, a free file viewer that has file conversion capabilities, to do the conversion. It works quite well.
