So lets just assume that Sarah Palin/Sharon Angle/Rand Paul/the witch woman or some other tea party candidate won the white house in 2012.

Not only that but republicans(not tea party, but republicans) won both houses of congress but not with a supermajority.

What likely legislation would they actually pass into law?

Don't just say "the world will end" or something like that. I want to know what you seriously think they would do with legislation given that scenario.

Redo the Bush tax cuts and try and overturn the healthcare bill.

The world hates us more having loopy and insane tea party leaders, lefties move out of the country, the Republicans place in oppression against the lower and poor classes. Fascism America takes a new era not seen since the Bush Administration.

Are we talking good super-majorities or crappy ones that rely on moderate Republican votes?

I'm just talking about more than 50/50 majority, no supermajorities in each house.

I'm guessing there's be alot of compromise and we'd get some conservative legislation but nothing way radical.

[sarcasimmode]Conservative legislation, yay[/sarcasimmode]

Just means more reason to ignore "undesirables" like the unemployed, the lower and poor classes who the Republicans assume are living off social welfare.

I just forsee more social conflict and social warfare in the horizon if these nutjob teapartiers have there way

You have more than a year of unemployment benefits, what more do you want?

Its not the government's job to pay for your living, its your job.

The business and other employers to get off there keasters and start hiring more instead of being reluctant to hire. As well as more unemployment benefits added in.

It should be the government's job to pay for the poor and the unemployed's living when they have no access to a job.

Before you feed me the BS that there are plenty of jobs out there. Let's get one thing straight, there arent any. For ONE job position, at least twenty people apply for it!

They have no need to hire more. They have all the workers they need. Business should hire according to their need. Any business that just hires because they can is ******ed and would go bankrupt.

No, its really not. You are responsible for paying for yourself. Not the government. They have no obligation to give you a free lunch.

I have friends being hired all the time. The ones that aren't getting hired either chose an easy route in school and don't have a degree thats in demand or are sitting at home, not applying anywhere.

Your own fault if you don't have a skill thats wanted or are not motivated to do anything. Especially if your young. You may have an excuse if your a older person that is structurally unemployed. That excuse doesn't exist for people in their 20s and 30s.

Translation: The Fatcats in wallstreet say to the poor and the unemployed, Let them eat cake.

Makes me dislike the Republicans who are nothing more than a bunch of country club patrons.

The Government has the obligation to give me a free lunch. Or suffer a socialist worker's revolution. The government cannot say to there citizens "screw you" when they are suffering.

I'm sorry, but it's not my own fault. I am deeply offended by that statement mister. Do you honestly know how many applications I have sent? I've sent perhaps a hundred of them in one week and yet never heard from any employer. Your friends getting hired all the time are perhaps the ones that were lucky enough to have there names drawn from the application pile, but it still does not erase the fact that there is STILL competition for new job postings out there. I can see you gracefully ignored my statement (and will reiterate) that for ONE job posting there is around ten to fifteen applicants. Some even seen twenty or forty applications for one position! I'm also greatly offended that you assume that I am not motivated to do anything. We'll listen to me, Just a few sentences ago I have told you I've sent out hundreds of applications per week. I also have plans to persue a second new degree.

I'm sick of individuals like yourselves who assume that it's "our fault" and other nonsense. The excuse exist for people in my generation because it is ALSO effecting MY generation as well!!! To think that I am sitting on my kester ENJOYING being unemployed and assume that I am not applying to anyjob is just offensive! Think next time before you generate a kneejerk reaction to me and assuming that I am unmotivated.

What kind of jobs do you apply for. If you applying for positions where you don't have any skills of expertise in, you obviously not going to get an answer.

And they don't just draw an application from the pile. My friends got hired because they have technical skills that the company needed.

Blaming the government for all your life's troubles is never going to get you anywhere.

Since you're bringing your own situation into this, I'll bring one memory I have of your occupational history: you had an entry-level position at a casino and one day you walked off and you took the rest of the day off without notifying your supervisors, and you expected to within just a few months (weeks?) be earning a six-figure salary.

You're like 26. It's time to hop on board the reality train with the rest of society.

I'm the same age as you CG, I'm self-employed making a good salary. I've been working hard for 4 years now and I don't make a 6 figure salary yet. There's a good chance that I will be next year. But you can't expect to get that high in a few months.

That was only one time, ONE TIME years ago! That has no bearing on my present occupational history. And YES, I DID notified my supervisors at the time.

You're like 26. It's time to hop on board the reality train with the rest of society.
I'm sorry, but I am not hoping aboard your so called "reality train". I've already seen it which consist of the poor getting poorer and the rich getting richer.

Contrary to popular belief a majority(much more than 50%) or college graduates seeking a job actually find one within a few months or a year of graduation.

Do you honestly expect to make 6-figures within a few months. Your never going to find a job then.

No more socialized health care, lower taxes for everybody, more jobs would be created, and without a super majority rule, hopefully the government will stop putting their nose into things that aren't their business. Basically, it'd be awesome.

If I would have said no more attempts at socialized health care would that sound better? I agree the system we have now, even with the new legislation isn't "socialized" but it was a step in that direction.
