As the first looks and dev diaries draw to a close and the release date for Civ 7 nears, I wanted to take the time to thank each and every fanatic who has posted here. It has been such a great journey since last June, getting to learn together with you about the next iteration of a game series we all love.

This is such an amazing community. I have so enjoyed reading your opinions, your speculations, your reasoning (sometimes "reasoning" with quotes needed :)) about what Civ 7 is likely to bring. I so appreciate everyone who took the time to investigate every new scrap of information, pulling together screen shots, making connections, keeping track of what we know, what we think we know, and what we think we don't know about what Firaxis has come up with.

We have here people from all over the world, of every political stripe, from different generations, different professions, different cultures, different ways of thinking. Being able to discuss, speculate and, let's be frank, obsess about Civ 7 with you has been a fabulous experience.

And if, this time around, we did not collectively achieve such magic as willing Tamar of Georgia into being, we have, for me at least, been a great group to spend time with for the past 8 months. Thank you!

On the other hand, I know this will not be the end. We have next stages of DLC and expansion of it... Let them come. :c5angry:

The lead up to Civ7 hasn't been quite as fun as Civ6 without the ferret Tamar of Georgia poster, especially as we figured an astonishing amount out astonishingly quickly--but it's still been a lot of fun! :D

Glad I finally gave that mysterious Civilization Franchise I kept seeing at Game shows a try. Glad to be here

I don't know when I first began to participate in this forum, but I think my membership here is close to the two decades mark. This forum has been a fixture in my internet life. I don't post that much nowadays, but I still read the opinions regularly. Just in case the original creator and admins of this forum do not realize this, I want to say that this forum has become part of my childhood memory that I look back to with as much fondness as classic TV shows like I Love Lucy or Mary Tyler Moor. I am sure this is true for many other veterans of this forum. One can't say the same about many other internet forums out there. This community is wonderful because of the contributions of the many thoughtful participants. From the bottom of my heart, I am grateful for all of you. Lets also not forget that this platform wouldn't exist without the original creator and the admins. They are probably doing this for free. I want to acknowledge your generosity. Thank you.

It's been fun chatting on here again after like a 15 year gap. I'd mostly been lurking and checking Bite's thread for updates in the antrum. Just needed to chat about VII.
Its been mostly perfect (Some people squabble about the tiniest molehills being mountains, I need to learn to Ignore and keep walking)

Hopefully I don't ghost everyone again for another 15 and need another account in 2040 to chat about Civ IX (Which will obviously be running on your retina projector and mind controlled)

I don't think I will though, I'll be curious to see what people find, what "should-have-been-obvious" basic strategies I should use, DLC speculation and the like.
Maybe I'll even pick a profile image!

Might have been more fun if it weren't for leaks and wonders being linked to civs. Guesses could have been more wild, and we'd be way more surprised by the reveals. Still having a blast.

I think more of us should have gotten advance copies over some of those streamers, some of them aren't using the scout search, others are complaining about yields and space to build while they space their towns 2 tiles apart;
Attacking friendly IPs instead of the hostile ones. gET the Suzerain bonuses you fools aRRG Gimmie that keyboard!!! Not one of them has just opened the Civlopedia to see what buildings do exactly.
Just 15* more days

*Plus the number of days to actually download it if there are wonky server/my end problems.

I try to be forgiving of suboptimal play because they're on the clock. But yeah...

Maybe not as fun as Tamar of Georgia but I think there has been decent progress toward willing Liliʻuokalani into existence.

No one listened to my suggestion to meme Shutruk-Nahhunte I into the game. :(

That's going to be Britain's ability when they finally get added to the game.
Maybe Prussia beat them to it. "Unique Ability: Ishtar Gates: You may remove Wonders from conquered cities and move them to your own!" Could also work for Venice...
