Like most guys (and probably women too) I love to be right about things. But I really feel wrong about just about everything right now. Looking back at my life I see mostly major mistakes of one sort or another. I also see many moments when I was just plain wrong in my interactions with others. I suppose the sad thing is that I don't feel much remorse over it, only a feeling of material loss of one sort or another. It's sort of an "I got what I deserved feeling" combined with "but I don't want what I got" feeling at the same time. I'm emotionally bankrupt and I can't think of a single excuse for me to complain about it.
What do others at CFC OT believe? Do you think (1) most of us get what we deserve in the final analysis? Or (2) are we humans more often victims of unfairness in life? Or (3) maybe it's a combination of both on different occasions? Rationally I believe it's the third possiblity but emotionally, right now, I sort of feel like it's the first one.
Getting old really stinks...for some of us.
