"We meditate on the worshipable power and glory of Him who has created the earth, the nether world and the heavens , and who directs our understanding."

Many centuries ago, a nomadic tribe settled on the plains of the fertile ganges river. There they would build a civilization that shall be eternal, where humanity would reach the pinnacle of learning and spiritualism. This is the land of Bharat and we are its people. This is our story.....

The area between India and Sri Lanka seems like a good area to move submarines through.

Question, why doesn't the map have Adam's Bridge. It was a strip of land connecting Sri Lanka and India up until the 15th Century when a storm deepened the channel and it was flooded.

Its not an accurate map, I only chose it because I was looking for a map with devnagri inscriptions which outlined the provinces which were part of ancient Bharat. I didn't find one I liked which had an "old" look to it. Hence, this one. The map is just for aesthetical purposes :) . I'm working out the intro story, it'll read nicely.

How would you deal with Mughals if they spawn in the same area as the "basic" Indians?

I actually have a question about this. Would it be possible to add requirements for a civilization to spawn?

    Yes

I'm speaking of adding certain conditions for later civilizations to form.

The Mughal spawn *should* be conditional. But Leoreth hasn't taken note of it I guess. the only way an islamic emirate can spawn like that within India is by breaking away from an islamic empire which controls that region or if Islam is already spread there. It should be done if it hasn't been done already. Consider this, what if the battle of Terrain in 1192 had been lost by Muhammad Ghori ? Then its more likely that the Rajputs would have conquered into Afghanistan and re-converted the region to hinduism than islam spread to India. No Ghorids mean no mughals. Also it means no Delhi Sultans.

i just played a game as India (literally won it a minute or 2 ago)

the mughals spawn no matter what

the best advice i can give is beeline gunpowder-agree to flip-rush 10 turns later

i agree the mughals should be conditional, but their not that hard to kill

trust me, the real threat is plagues, your cities will go down to size one, your economy will tank, and you'll be set back in research
    you have been warned
