This map is so beautiful, but I will not be able to edit it in its current form.

PLEASE, post a blank version, an then all the sprites on a white background?

OK, I will post it when I come back to my pc with photoshop.

Also a tweak to voodoo: Spirit Ward.

When cast on allies, increases morale end strength.
When cast on enemies: causes fear (decreases morale; visions and images of spirits haunt them) and dispells positive buffs.

Good show :)

Out of interest, how did you stumble upon NESing, and mine in perticular?

I just saw a NES in someone's signature and wondered what the hell is it. I immideately tried to join FFH Nes as a goblin tribe, but they play major nations only, and I want a game (ANY! Board, computer, etc.) where you can survive and develop your tribe with shamanism and a decent part of exploration and wilderness survival. Here comes one starting! Thank you for this.

By the way, there's the 'clean' map:

[EDIT]: Uh, I forgot to put grid labels on. Now it's fine.

TROLLZKIN TRIBE
fu2ot1.gif

Color: RED

Cacique Name: Chieftain Deon'Khai
ap5ih.png

Magic user: Shaman Zul'Bash

Description:
Trollzkin tribe lives in jungles in small settlements. Their main professions are hunters and primitive crafters. They are able to craft sturdy spears and make quite reliable leather armor out of killed animals.
The people of the tribe prefer meat to vegetables and they have almost no agriculture (except for herbalists which grow some herbs for healing and meat preparation but mostly they gather plants in jungles).
It is unknown if the diet, the way of life or something else caused it, but trollzkin have quite big protruding fangs and bluish skin.
They are known as fierce warriors and hunters but they lack diplomatic and agricultural skills.
They obey their chief but are very religious and fear of their ancestor spirits so the shaman of the tribe is almost as powerful as the chief.

Their lack of any road network is compensated by good knowledge of surrounding jungles and skills to move there quickly.
Mostly they use animal trails for movement and are good trappers so unwanted guests from outside are likely to be lost and butchered if they go the wrong way.

Shaman's magic:
Voodoo: Spirit Ward: If the target is enemy formation hostile soldiers will lose morale (freightened) and lose positive magical effects; if the target is allied formation the soldiers recieve morale and physical strength increase.
The effect lasts until the end of the next battle or after a day passes.

Racial ability:
One with the land: When operating on native terrain (jungle) trollzkin move faster than average movement speed (they use terrain features like lianas and trees) and are harder to spot (+50% to hide/ambush ability). However they suffer a small morale penalty when on the open field (Magic voodoo: Spirit ward can negate this penalty).

TARTES TRIBE

COLOUR: YELLOW

Cacique's Name: Mikael Stronghammer

Magic User's Name: Tonai the Fire Freezer

Spell: Freeze: Throws a 50m ball of pure coldness. For living beings, especailly near the centre, the temperature drop might kill them. (1 MP)

The Tartes people are excellent fishers and navigators, second only to Mesaqoo's tribemen. They are also able to craft many weapons from the animals they fish and hunt: an animal's rib cage, combined with leather, makes an excellent armour and shield; fish's spines can be added to stone-point arrows or to axes for maximum damage to the enemy; and the claws of jungle tigers are given to melée fighters so that they can defeat the opposing soldiers with more efficiency. This makes them very good fighters, as the spirit of the animal fights next to them (or so they say).

They are also able to craft many beautiful amulets from wood and animal bones, which they believe keep brown and black magic away from them (they feel that green and blue are normally associated with the good magic, and brown and black are associated with the bad magic), and tend to get on well with other tribes, as their outgoing personality wins them many friends.

They always follow a chief, which remains in that position until he is too old to keep hunting next to the rest of the tribe, upon which moment they leave the position to a younger man, but the retired chief is always revered for their service to the tribe and consulted by the new chief, as the old ones always start to study the use of ancient runes and symbols in writing as well as in magic. This connection is not deep enough to make them use magic, but it helps them to stay alive for more years than the normal human.

Tribal Advantage (only if we are going to use these)
Scavengers
The Tartes people are able to give an use to any thing they find, no matter the origin.
(I don't know what bonuses this should give my guys, but I suppose that it would be something like gaining extra economy points in every turn and whenever a fight is won it provides more EPs than it would give other tribes)

Look at it yourself :). The handle is not connected properly, the flag is chopped in some places and the background is not transparent. Also no shadow on handle :).

The chopping is because when I uploaded it (without making changes) in ImageShack the background was completely black and in Paint the surroundings is in a combination of black and grey, so I erased it. As for the handle, I had to put it on hand, and why should it have a shadow?

Can you perhaps produce a map without "player Jungle" or any of the rivers named please ~ people will be able to name them as we play.

Also, the mini flags, towns and perhaps a totem on a white background?

Flayer Jungle not player jungle :)

As for sprites, today I am lazy to draw something new but I will gladly share the things I have :).

Why do you want white background?
Also what about rivers the players already named? (Like Tar and Black river?)

Essentially MSPaint can "ignore" any one colour from its pallete. For example if I chose white to be that colour, i can cut and paste the sprites and the white will become transparent. I can then copy and paste the sprites as I wish without having to worry about the background.

It does not do layers tho, so i will need to have a completely clean map in case towns get destoryed etc, since i'll then have to copy+paste from the original

Rivers players have named, by all means keep them on the map, but I do need one completely blank version, as explained above.

Sorry i've neem super Busy lately, but i'll try and get some stats in..

No worrys fellah. This is a slow cooker anyway. I don't want to launch until things are good and stewed.
