I remember that Beeri Bawl used to be Spir/Org rather than Fin/Ind, and I was wondering why he was changed. Was it a balance question or something, since he doesn't get so much benefit from the free Command Posts? I was going to ask this when the change was made, but I kind of slipped my mind...

I think it was a lore based change. Beeri, as far as I know, isn't actually that religious. It also cements the Chirp as the 'financial' civ. That is, however, only speculation on my part.

I also have no idea why Garrim Gyr was changed from Arcane/Financial to Defender Financial. Arcane was quite good for getting golem-repairing adepts, while Defender normally a little weak and is much more so for a civ whose main "melee" line lack a unitcombat and so get no free promotion.


I think that both leaders out to have their traits switched back. (Although splitting the difference and going Spiritual/Industrious might work even better for Beeri.)
