...in other words: if I buy the 32-bit version of the game on the 24th, will I be able to somehow patch it to 64-bit later? I just bought a 64-bit comp and I don't want to waste its powers... But on the other hand, my neighbours just complained that books are dropping off their shelves and the paint on the walls is starting to crack. I've got the shakes man, I've got them Richter bad! Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed CIV..! Me... Want... NOW! :king::nuke::goodjob::we-need-a-new-gdr-smiley:

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but I don't know much about this fancy new 64-bitness... I'm only asking because it's said that it will take months before they release a 64-bit version, if ever. Why not just have it ready at release? Come to think of it, why make us, your not-so-ancient motherland, wait 'til the 24th?:cry: Oh, sweet Pinhead..! This is no longer sweet suffering but quite the opposite! I sware if I could have the full 64-bit game right now I'd give my left pinky finger for it! That's dedication! You hear me, mr. Shafer? You hiring?

Few games are ever made 64-bit, and that's ok. However, if a 64-bit cleint does get released, I'm 99% sure it will be free of charge to those that own the game already.

You, sir, are a knight among the 65 ingrates who saw my post but didn't answer. :goodjob::hatsoff: You just took Mount Everest off my weary heart (now hopefully they can add it back to the game ;)); I'll buy the game as soon as possible with next month's food money and kiss goodbye to my university studies... You hear me, folks? De-di-ca-tion! (No, that's not supposed to have M as an initial!) :king::bowdown::spear:

Oh and thank Seth, my demo has just downloaded! After 6 hours of waiting! I was down to my last hair and toenail! Now, let us see if I can get through 8 hours of lectures with 2 hours of sleep. If Alexander took over the real world, I'm sure I can take over a fake one. :nuke::cool::D

I have never heard of anyone or anything, ever, charge for a 64 bit version of their product. (I'm not counting 64 bit versions bundled into a product you buy)

And i have never ever heard about a game with a 64bit version:)

Umm.. they will patch the game to work on 64bit they wont sell another game exclusively for 64bit.. that would be as good strategy as selling tooth paste without a paste :\

few games ever made 64bits good example is FarCry. But theres alot range of games and programs this days for 64bits and only difference is... you can use more than 3gigs of RAM so game will less likely crash because of memory even with memory leak.
