Adding a new civ: Lithuania

This would also be great, the unit you posted looks awesome. Either for mercenary in the area, or at least as ethnic art for Lithuania
Edead, do you still have the file around?

What do you guys think about adding Lipka Tatars as a mercenary mainly for Lithuania (UM)
They are already only available in areas usually controlled by Lithuania.

AFAIK it's very hard for a non-Lithuanian player to hire Lipka Tatars because of that. Even as Poland, you either have to resist Lithuanian spawn flip, or take their cities very early (which is very hard as there is no counter to Bajoras at the time). Moscovy spawns too late to be able to take those lands in time.

The only other civ I can think of to hire Lipka Tatars is Sweden - IF Sweden's spawn is moved to Northern Crusades as in RFCE++. Lipka Tatars are likely the best unit in the game - it would be a shame if only one civ is allowed to make use of it.

I think a better idea is to tie the hiring of certain mercenaries to Faith Points. And an increase in the number of mercenaries to compensate for this.

For example, hiring Templar/Teutonic Knights should require a high enough (>40) Catholic Faith Point, whereas hiring Lipka Tatars (who are Muslims) should require a low enough (<20) Faith Point. This will make Lithuania and Poland hire them more easily, but still allows access of other civs. This will also prevent Teutonic Order from hiring them easily, as Teutonic Order should start with a very high (40 to 50) Faith Point. But instead of Lipkas, the Order State should be able to hire extra Teutonic Knights (Sword Brethren) that become available in Livonia, Prussia, and Estonia.

It's way too risky to tie them to faith points
Even risky for the human player, and totally unbalanceable for the AI
Prereq religion works, prereq faith is not

That's not a problem
Most Unique Mercenaries (UM) are restricted to small regions, thus to 1-2 civs
It's intended that Lithuania is the primary target for those mercs
