I was wondering if VP could add these weapons. It would change how battles are fought. I find it ridiculous to use nukes to achieve this purpose of warfare. Is it possible? I know nothing about modding but if I got the time and its easy then I might try. For biological weapon, we could use the nuke and instead of fallout, the tiles affected would have characteristic similar to a marsh tile, the unit ending turn on or passing thru that tile would get the diseased promotion, but we could modify the promotion to last for a considerable duration. Wherever the unit, the diseased promotion could spread to other units provided that unit is adjacent to it. If possible the "bio-nuke" can also drop directly to cities or spread by units entering the city and the population slowly die off until a counter to it is made eg (buildings, policies, resolution) or we could make the effect last a certain amont of turn. I imagine this must require alot of complex coding work, maybe can do it in another more simpler way?
As for chemical weapons I have no clue, maybe we can use the nukes and guided missile as a template for AoE damage and for precise strike respectively. We could either instakill affected units or give them permanent/temporary promotion that weakens their ability? Or we can just make chemical attack a promotion for artillery units so they can deal damage to enemy and reduce their hp every turn.
IMO, this can be a cool feature and there is alot of new concepts that can build on it. eg We can have resolution in UN to ban these weapons etc.
I think this is easier said than done. But once again, I dont know much about coding. So maybe someone can give me a visualization of the possibilty of this feature? My logic is kinda flawed so pardon me if this sound riduculous
