This mod adds 3 new luxury resources.
The intention is to propose the integration of those 3 resources into main VP when the next congress comes.

Just trying it with MWfVP, seeing that number of NW decreased.
It is a mod load order issue: specifically the resources mod loads after More wonders mod overwriting the custom AssignStartingPlots.lua in More wonders mod.
This would be solved with a new VP version where I push the edited AssignStartingPlots.lua to main VP.

As solution for the time being move (not copy) the AssignStartingPlots.lua file you can find in the resource mod folder and replace the same file in main VP folder MODS\ (2) Vox Populi\ Core Files\ Overrides\.

Hi, so just to clarify, the same AssignStartingPlots.lua should be in both MODS\ More Wonders for VP\ 2.NaturalWonders\ DefaultFiles\ and MODS\ (2) Vox Populi\ Core Files\ Overrides\?

Also, the mod looks great! Are there plans to add any more luxury resources in the future?

There are 2 files:
  • AssignStartingPlots.lua in the mod files that goes in MODS\ (2) Vox Populi\ Core Files\ Overrides\ folder;
  • AssignStartingPlots.lua in the first post attachment that goes in MODS\ More Wonders for VP\ 2.NaturalWonders\ DefaultFiles\ folder.
As for additional resources, we'll see what it's needed for balance.
The camel model was commissioned by N.Core, iirc, because there is no pasture luxury resource in game. Pasture, camp and quarry luxury resources are the most scarce ones so it's more likely new ones will be added, while plantation luxury resources are the most common (15!) so you won't see new ones of that kind.
Hokath and I coded also a Feathers luxury for forest, jungles, and marsh to be improved with camp but the resource model has graphical issues when improved. I tried to fix it with my limited knowledge of blender but unsuccessfully. An expert in 3d modelling is needed here, so we decided to remove the resource because with the graphical issue it would not meet the quality standards for a VP integration.

Hello,
Thanks for the great work once again !
I have an issue with the new luxuries when using the Dutch changes in Hokath's tweaks where the civ doesn't recognize the tiles as luxuries for the +1 gold/culture
Does it have to do with mod dependencies/references ?

Camel yields are trash, especially for those on non-flood plains flat desert. They shouldn't be on the fallback list with the desert restriction.

I know it's late, but there are never two buildings that boost the same resource (outside of bananas which have no base yield). Quartz is also on the weak side as a quarry resource.

Luxuries on flat desert are always a bit meh, even Incense (maybe especially Incense since it takes so long before you can work it most of the time). I think that's a separate discussion, where the solution is +1 Production to flat Desert so it mimics the +1 Food of flat Tundra.
Note also this is a Pasture luxury -- the first ever! So the God of the Open Sky, the Fealty boost, the Civil Service +2 Food to Pastures, etc. all apply to this Lux.

Quartz is on the weak side because the 10% science monopoly is so strong.
The idea behind having the two buildings is that you get a small amount of science now, but a large amount of science later. It is true, this is an innovation. We are pushing the boundaries. If it were all +4 on the Research Lab, one would be very sad with Quartz monopoly.

What about making the camel a "normal" ressource like cows but only available on desert terrain ?

Yes, I agree with this idea.
With something like 2 foods and 1 production as base yield so it is good even on flat desert ? And make their spawn only on flat desert without floodplain.

We don't need more pasture bonus resources, only pasture luxuries.

Btw, Floof update!!!

Changelog:
  • added Alpaca as new pasture luxury resource available only on hills.
  • buffed Camel: +1 Gold from pasture, +1 Production more from Caravansary. Camel now cannot spawn on food plains.

It's not so much about missing bonuses or luxury resources but about a resource for the desert. And in this respect, I find it more judicious to make the Camel a bonus resource that will not be located in a single zone but rather everywhere where there is desert.

Stunning .
Your 3 icons are really superb.
Some of the merit is also yours as I used the photomania website you suggested to edit the alpaca picture I used as base. ;)

There's also the aloe vera resource I added that spawns on flat desert tiles.
