Additions from other Mods

I thought it was about time that we added some other mod elements into CCTP

From CiVUP by Thalassicus:
  • Clock on top tooltip by Attila
  • Expanded plot rollover by CsebMod and Adam Watkins
  • Border expansion indicator by Copasetic’s

Others:
  • Emigration by killmeplease
  • TreeGrowth by Bhruic - Fixed for G&K by iamaplayer
  • Fully Modifiable Custom Notifications by Sneaks - Fixed for G&K by iamaplayer

Feel free to discuss any other additions that you would like to see added, from CivUP or any other mod or modmod :)

Haha, I've already been using them on the side. :D Just make sure to ask for permission before we put them in
 
I would like to see "Treegrowth Mod" and "Emigrations".
 
I have been looking at the tree growth mod, it seems like trees grow very randomly with no real pattern? Even ontop of plots where there are already trees? the way the code is also makes me think this is so, there is some code there for growing a whole circle of trees, but seems to be bypassed.

If anyone has more Experiance with this mod would be interesting to get some feedback :)
 
k seems that the tree mod does everything its supposed to do, was just me having a crazy moment :lol:
 
Cultural revolutions as in Civilization NiGHTS would be excellent. They shouldn't allow you to choose a new government as in NiGHTS, as that would not make sense given the government structure of CCtP. Following that pattern, though, you should receive some temporary benefit (though I am not sure what to call it).
 
Got permission from Thal to use the CiVUP stuff :).

I have also been messing with the tree growth mod, I have added in jungle growth and pulled it apart a little. I only want cctp mod to do one scan of the map per active player turn, but link that to multiple events eg tree growth, disasters, policy bonuses etc. I would like to see the tree growth notification have a different picture atm its just an ! If anyone is up to it would be cool, seems the size is 80x80 circle shape. Seems we can have different notification Icon pictures for both jungle and forest if someone really wants to make it cool ;)

One thing that I am looking into is adding in some kind of maintenance feature, with low medium and high. On low there would be a risk of improvements being destroyed and turned into forests, at medium u might suffer the odd improvement becoming pillaged, at high there would actually be a chance of a pillaged resource being auto repaired. Thoughts?

Thats sounds realy neat. Im not making the art...Icons and me....No.
 
Wouldn't mind the GEM AI for CCTP, I couldn't figure out how to untangle it from CivUP. I saw someone was enhancing it and hoping to make it standalone at some point(dll acess I think), but atm that a ways off.

Whats sort of picture? 80x80 the circle size or image size? Or point me at where they are at so I can have a look? Nevermind found them, most are scrambled but can see 1 or 2 for a base plate, so im guessing a tree and a urm tree? :)

Hmm need the image and the glow image or will 1 do?
 
Jungle......better than the forest 1, still not 100%, hmm the glow one i'll try see how it comes out :), any idea what the glow ones does?

BTW one mod i really miss since G and K came out is the "random event Mod". This mod has so many potential. But like all the other mods it need reworks and lua skills.:eek:

Are you adding the silver ring? Just need the inside bit. or maybe needs it saving as a different .dds format dxt3, 5? Not sure which one to get rid of the jagged edges

The glow works nice btw.


Edit: updated my github version, so that's Emigration and Treegrowth added, of cause still need to go off and ask permissions on these two :) but i think they both now working as they should.
