Description
This mod adds victory conditions and age progression options to the advanced options. The idea of the victory conditions is to prevent the AI to select disabled victory condition strategies and to prevent reaching the specific victory condition for everyone at all. The Age Progression options prevent adding age progression on specific events, if they are disabled.

E.g.:
If you disable the culture victory condition, the world fair wonder should be unreachable and the artifacts legacy path strategy should not be selected from the AI.
If you disable Player Elimination, no age progression will be added if a player is eliminated in the game.

This version is in an alpha state. It's tested that the AI will follow one of the strategies which are not disabled, but there could be side effects or other kind of bugs. But if you have time, I'm happy about your experiences and recommendations.

I tested it now with Live Tuner and I enabled only the military victory conditions, and the AI seems to follow also this strategy. They research very early the ideology and its logged in the AI_Victories that they are following LEGACY_PATH_STRATEGY_IDEOLOGY.

Besides that, the game seems to be unbalanced in some way. Because the AI earns science legacy path points from just research normal technology on the way, the age progression was very fast and the game ended without something interesting. I'm thinking about to decrease the age progression as next steps for the legacy path which are disabled as victory conditions.
 
So can this basically create a domination mode where the only way to win is by killing every enemy on the map?

This was actually the idea, because I like this option too. But if you disable all victory conditions, it will be indirectly a point victory condition, because we haven't found some way to disable the age progression or to disable the age progression per turn. Disabled victory conditions also prevent age progression from legacy path events, so the game will indirectly be longer.

I you choose only the military victory conditions, it's closer to a civ6 game with round limit and domination victory. But in some way the strategies from the AI in exploration and modern age will be slightly different from a domination victory, because the military legacy path seems also not really be like a domination victory condition.

Sweet, well I am trying it with every victory option disabled. I think perhaps that means I have to killl everyone to win. Thanks a lot man. Great job. I'll let you know how it turns out. So far I'm like 5 hours in. Things seem fine.
 
Looks like the update broke the savefile on my modded match. Can't select diplomacy by clicking leaders and can't apply bonuses to towns/factories/cities. Can't select units, basically most things are broken lol. Ugh, I spent alot of time on that game..lol

UPDATE: By uninstalling the game, deleting the Firaxis folder in the appdata/local/username folder, then reinstallaing the game and reinstalling the mod, I was able to save my savefile.

Does not work for domination if you run to the end of the modern age. once you hit 100% in the modern age.. Game over.. Dammit..lol

Thank you SO MUCH for creating this mod!!! 😘

I'm going to test it in the next few days on my Ubuntu desktop.

I completed the game in a few days (I've reached the end of modern era) on the "deity" setting, and now I'm really looking for a way play the game and end it when I want to end it or after I eliminate all the other nations.

From the description of your mod it sounds like it's possible by enabling ONLY the "military victory" condition. I'll try soon and let you know

Update 1: on Ubuntu, the mod worked only in the "DLC" folder and not in the "mods" folder (Chatgpt told me to put it in the "mods" folder). I removed all the 4 victory conditions and the "Player elimination" box as well. Let's see if it will allow me to play the game forever 😅

Update 2: although I removed all the victory conditions (and "Player elimination"), the game ended when the "modern era" ended (see photo) 😬

Is there any way to continue the game AFTER the modern era reaches 100%?
