Afaik, according to site rules, if a mod erases a post they have to inform you they did so

And I think it is a very good rule. But lately it hasn't been practiced, and I think this won't lead to anything good.
Last thing the site needs is no specific rules for when stuff can happen - more so when action is taken against non-infractable posts.
