Afghanistan: Omar Caught?

Just heard a report that former Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar has been arrested/captured. Heard this from television news at 2330 local time, about 4 minutes ago. There are conflicting reports online, however, with this being an extract from a CNN report of Jan 4 1258 GMT:
"Regarding reports of his arrest, it is a rumor. He is still surrounded in the Baghran area of Helmand province," Nusrat Ullah, a senior intelligence official in Kandahar, told CNN. The statement contradicted Afghanistan's Reconstruction Minister Amin Farhang, who told German TV, "I have heard that (Omar) was arrested."

Anyone heard or seen anything further on this matter?
Even if they do not have him right now, it seems the net is closing inexorably, and there will be no escape for him...

The Taliban has just fled a close capture by somehow getting a motorbike and riding away. So thats what he does when they discuss his surrender...
Either the Taliban rode with a couple of loyal followers, fooling the Americans and Afganis by putting his visor down so they wouldn't notice he only has one eye, or they made a charge at the American/Afghan troops. I wonder how many ride from the area watched and aren't stopped, checked and detained if suspicous looking (either one eye or are 6 foot 3 in OSB's case.) if the former is the case........

The idea that he flew on a bike kind of appeals to me. It's funny. I think he'll be caught eventually. Tomorrow or perhaps even the day after tomorrow.

What does concern me is the fact that the US want him extradited to the US instead of let him be convicted by the UN. Omar was a criminal to humanity. The UN is closer to humanity as a whole than the US.

Actually i could care less about Omar.There is some importance in Mullah Omar but not much.Obl is much more important than Omar ,but Where is he?
