After Game Graphics issue

After playing and exiting 2.08 I often am unable to view videos using windows Media Player. The video plays but is almost totally black. This is reminiscent of the the in game graphics bug "Black Ice".The Media player works properly if I restart after exiting

The bug occurs in games w/ and w/o the appearence of "Black Ice"; in fact it occurs just by starting the game and exiting at the start screen.
