after patching problem

after patching beyond the sword it to 3.17 it won't work
i tried uninstalling it then installing then patch it up but it won't work
all my games use crack
maybe that's why beyond the sword won't work after patching it to 3. 17
but warlords and civ 4 works perfectly after patching and after being
cracked

can someone tell me what's the problem?
