Age of Ice, BtS 3.13 - Terrain graphics srcewed up

I opened up a game I had started when 3.03 was installed and was saved last night with 3.13 installed. The terrain graphics were working fine last night, but this morning is a different story. Now everything looks like a scene out of Tron, except for the unit, city and land improvement graphics. It's extremely strange, I've attached a few screen shots of the anomaly to this post and will attach the saved game upon request.

I'm using a Geforce FX 5500 with the graphics settings turned up full blast. Low resolution textures and high land detail are both turned off. I should probably look at my other saved games from vanilla BtS and TFF to see if the same thing is happening there as well...

For me, I can even not load a game on RFC (Portugal) that was working fine this morning (3.03): I crash when loading the saved game (3.13)
I am afraid some changes made in mods are not compatible with the latest patch version...
 
Well, a restart of the game seems to have fixed the problem and now I'm happily swatting away at frostlings. There's just too dang many of them, and putting an archer on a forest hill between them and an objective, like a city, is as effective as putting up a sign that says: "Trap ahead, please enter."
 
Dangit! The tron graphics are back, and I think I know why: I started the game by clicking on the save game itself, instead of going through the BtS menu. That's why it worked last night, I loaded the mod through the vanilla BtS menu so I could listen to that beautiful menu music.

Conclusion: there really is a bug here.
