AI artilley use?

Well, whats the verdict here. Is the ai playing better and using artillery as it should.

Didn't play CIvIII for a looong time before this update which finally fixed it ewnough for me to like the game, and it seems to me the AI is improved all around. Haven't experienced a load of Artillery attacking me yet, but I've yet to get out of the middle ages without dying- I set up things so I have bad holes to climb out of before I have a chance to win, like starting on some far away island all isolated so I'm still using medieval footmen while they have developed gunpowder and galleons and all sorts of ****e they send my way... DEAD! They have'n bothered with Artillery yet....

Anyone else speak to this? I too would like to know on this SPECIFIC problem the AI has.
