I'm playing CPP for a while and when I try to win by something except Dominance - Ai starting to buy wars against me, and after 15 turns (I play on Epic) enemies don't like to stop the war and continue attacking me. But when Ai buy war against each other they don't even trade a unit, cause I had an open borders with one of them and saw how 15 turns in a row 2 melee units didn't attack each other on a border (they were at war) and on 16 turn they immidiately stopped. I often don't have the biggest army, but nearly every time I was on 2-4 place overall (I'm playing on map for 8 players and now on Emperor). It is so annoying so can somebody tell how can I turn off buying war? And of course most of the time I had a friendship with people, who was bought.

I think bribed AI is also less likely to peace out if they already hate you anyway, and "friendly" neighbors who got bribed may actually be just hiding hostility. If this is late game their opinion might be getting modified by you getting closer to victory.
AI not trading units against each other may be a mix of bad luck, positioning, and bias. I don't think they will be hunting enemies as actively as in an intentional war, have seen civs I bribed conquer each other's cities as well as see them do nothing but raid each other's trade routes.

I sometimes had an encounter when civ denounced me and on the same turn they were bribed, so it was 2 encounters on the same turn. They often start wars no matter when. Like the first bribed war I ever had - it was before classical. I builded pyramids and after that in 3 turns my neighbour was bribed.

You can turn off war bribes.
MODS\(1) Community Patch\Database Changes\Defines\DiploAIOptions.sql
Set DIPLOAI_DISABLE_WAR_BRIBES to 1 and save the file.
Thank you! Because AI didn't bribe nearly all map against me I made cultural and diplo win already on 7 difficult. It was a bit hard, but a lot easier when somebody, not all trying to kill you.
