Is there a way to disable the recent AI changes and go back to what existed in patch G?

We seriously need axioms to help Bill to become funny (first hint: Advertising in various thread doesn't make things funnier).

Anyway, I agree with what Gekko said in another thread, that Kael maybe should have waited for the new wild mana version or a more polished version in general to merge.
As great as a few aspects of the new AI are, it seems like a bad tradeoff considering some weird AI behaviours.

Honestly the better AI ... the better.

Diety is supposed to be theoretically unwinnable :D ... and spells are made to be used.

Multiplayer doesn't have to be such a vastly different game like it is now.

Take out the part where Orthus is set to spawn right next to me every game! The AI is cheating!!!!! Ok, that's sarcasm... barely.

I'd hardly call it free. =P I only win when I'd rather be put out of my misery. When I want to survive my cities go down in flames.

I've never had any prob's with the green big boy. Last game he died on his first attack on my city... I even had to walk out with a unit to pick up the axe. By the time he spawns you should have multiple troops with mimimum of 1 promotion, and most likely 2 or more. Choose them well and he becomes quite manageable.

always have some warriors ready and go after him aggressively if he spawns next to you, the longer he stays a live the bigger the threat.

Hrm, I always thought you'd be better off letting him attack you to get terrain bonuses. I guess hitting him asap would be a good idea.

a mix of the two is usually the best thing. remember that you get a lot more XP by attacking than defending in FFH, so offensive is the way to go. a good tactic with orthus is to have a small group of warriors, and place a lone one on a flatland nonforested tile, desert would be best. orthus will attack the bait and win, hopefully receiving some damage in the process. now you can hit him while he's vulnerable. note that this is for a Orthus without a lot of XP, if he gets promotions he becomes a lot stronger and more difficult to damage, so it's probably a good idea to just let him attack you on a tile with as much defense bonus as possible. the guy will attack and kill, but get damaged. when he's weaker and vulnerable, kill him.

No, didn't know that actually. Good to know though.

IIRC, that's the standard from vanilla BTS. XP awards are halved for defending.

I tried to upload patch "g" twice today. Both times Im unable to connect to the ftp server. When I can connect I'll get it uploaded and post a link.
