AI Leaders reset on reload (patch 1.0.1.674)

Had something weird happen to me after reloading my last game yesterday. Playing as the Iroquois, I had just concluded a war with the Spanish (who backstabbed me) to my south, and after tossing them around a bit they sued for peace, giving me GPT as well as some luxury resources. I was done for the day, so I saved, quit, and came back a little later. To my surprise, the Spanish had become the Inca! They immediately cancelled the treaty and went to war with me, and after several more backstabs I had enough and wiped them out.

Anyone else have this happen to them, or know what causes it? I search the forums and patch notes but saw nothing, so sorry if this has already been brought up.

The latest patch has such an effect on savegames, which were started before the patch.
-> When did you get the patch?

The savegame (with the Spanish) was created on the 13th
The patch was released on the 14th (Steam probably downloaded it that day)
I reloaded the saved game on the 17th to find the Inca had replaced the Spanish

The Inca were also led by Genghis, forgot that part.

Since this is a 1 time problem, I don't think they're going to fix it .
Just treat the game as lost and move on ().
