I am seeing interesting things with using airports and trying to airlift units.

It seem that in order to be able to airlift any unit, that unit needs to have "ALL" of its movement points preserved. If on a railroad you venture even 1 tile from the city, that unit will no longer be available for airlift during that turn. This is regardless of the number of movement points available to the unit. I have seen this behaviour with pikeman, cavalry and fast worker.

The other anomaly I noticed is that an airport allows you to airlift 1 unit per turn. On the receiving end, a city can only receive 1 airlifted unit per turn.

Both of these are change in behaviour from previous Civs.
There is no documentation to suggest that this is how Airports and airlifts work.
 
Don't think this is an bug.
The units need time for loading, so u can't roam around, fight, drive in airport and get a battalion of tanks lifted in what would be in reality the last 2 weeks of the year or so.
Point two, i've done some nice, prolongued intercontinental warfare(slower techpace through RealismMod) recently. Airlift more than one unit- or even unlimited- per turn would make the concept of "bridgehhead" kinda useless. I liked it when i get pushed back into the sea after commiting all my armys trying to hold on to one conquered enemy city, airlifting fresh units every turn, was one of the best war-situations i had sofar.
