"Alert" button: Formal Request to any devs reading this

    What does the Alert button currently do? I've seen it on units but have barely idea of what it does.

    It’s just a “fortify and forget” button right now. It’s really ridiculous that this is still broken after all this time. Seems to me that it was alleged to have been fixed two updates back but it has never, as far as I know, worked.

    In past iterations a unit in Alert would fortify and then wake up (i.e. ask for orders) upon an enemy unit moving to within a few hexes’ (or squares’) range.
