All leader portraits

Harald comes across as slimmer than Philip to me. And Philip's bulshinous will ensure in game that you know exactly who you're dealing with!

That is all true. They just look a little similar.

Hell for those who are struggling lol; you get this in real life where you meet a couple of people who look a bit a like at the same time so you mix up their names the first few times you meet them after that; but months later, you're like 'why did I ever mix them up??'

I'm sure that people will ultimately have no problem telling them apart; the northern lights in the background and Viking armour are a pretty key difference!

200 pages, hooray!

Apparently, Harald Hardrada's hair was described as being fair in color, which the in-game version does not have. It seems like Philip II and Pedro's hair colors were also darkened as well. Hurray for brunette representation?

There certainly is a lack of blondes in the game lol

Maybe once all of the civs have been announced, they'll share the actual, unblurry poster and the actual images that they used.

Watch the first DLC be nothing but blond headed leaders...

Well, historically Isabella was famous for being strawberry blond, and I've seen Jadwiga portrayed as both blond and brunette, so...it's possible. :p

An ugly Trajan appeared!

Historically inaccurate too. The only allusions to the real Trajan are the hairstyle and the long nose. That's it. The face is too long and not round enough to be Trajan.

He looks FAR more like Julius Caesar.

Naw. All we have to go on are statues and busts of him and let's just say that artists can be known to embellish things a bit.

Just like some forum posters. ;)

Trajan looks fine. :)

He does kind of look like Leonard Nimoy. Maybe Firaxis thought the same about Trajan's busts, and decided to exaggerate his face as a homage to Nimoy. :D

Rome...Live long and prosper. :D

I suppose he does sort of look like Nimoy.

It looks to me like there has been some changes made to his face since this picture. Could just be the quality of that picture though.

Disagree. He looks dead. He is based on the Trajan portrayal from the baths of Ankara made shortly before Trajan died, in which Trajan looks "emaciated" according to Wikipedia.

Well they want all the leaders to have exaggerated proportions to make them more interesting, and to fit with the general art style of the game- Gilgamesh is basically the incredible hulk, so skinny Trajan was always likely.

In terms of presentation of leaders, I'm interested to see how they convey Peter's stature- he was 6 foot 8 (just over 2 metres tall), putting him head and shoulders above others. I presume that makes him the tallest Civ VI leader (excluding Gilgamesh- 16 feet tall apparently!).

So they turban guy whose portrait we saw was Saladin after all. No big surprise.
Doesn't look at all like modeled after the picture in this thread. Good thing. Civilian Saladin is preferable to armed Saladin.
