Well, given that the one has a line of indistinguishable others just like him standing by to take his place...

And the other one never shows his true face, I know! But at least he has a ray-crossbow and is cuddly.

"Guys maybe we should take a break from Star Wars?"

    "Yeah good idea."

    ...

    "OK time's up."

Also, they want to make Avatar a series??

Well, considering at one point they were talking about two SW movies a year, I think one every other year is quite the slowdown. (And a welcome one at that!)

It's been known for a few years that Cameron is filming the next four Avatar movies together. It just wasn't known "when" they'd be released.

Guys, guys, guys! We could like totally work out together the plot of these three films.

Like we've got everything we need to determine, through Star Wars story-logic, where this is all going.

For example, look at the hiding-right-under-your-eyes clue in the proposed title: "Untitled Star Wars movie."

Greivous is going to turn out to be Yoda's half brother, separated at birth.
Fode and Beed were "brothers from another mother" joined at birth.
    They're the villains.
    Broom-boy is Luke's son with a thala-siren.
There'll be a cocky ace pilot.
Most of the initial action will occur on a planet-planet.

There's an implication here that these films will use a new plot that has to be worked out. I find that unlikely.

That's a little what I was getting at with "cocky ace pilot." I was going to add "spunky princess who seems to need rescuing, but in fact rescues you."

You could instead have a space pilot princess who rescues people.

You're going to say that Rey is Leia and Han's lost daughter, I get it.

I enjoy the switch from the geriatric fencing. The camerawork is just weird though.

This makes me miss the choreography of the prequels. The sequels do a really poor job of showcasing the visuals of the Force and using lightsabers, and the OT was held back by the olds. :smug:

I agree the camerawork was a bit off, more so when interspersed with the actual movie footage. But, all things considered it's still a pretty amazing job and gave us a more dynamic "last fight" than we actually got with either Obi-Wan & Vader or Obi-Wan & Maul.

I just wonder what they could've managed if those dowels didn't keep breaking. :p

The camerawork is just off for a couple reasons: namely it is not pro enough to be seamless and there is an abuse of movement and speed that clashes violently against all the actual movie shots. Composition is also bizarre set against the original footage. Shots are much closer, faster, and smoother than thry should be. They shot their fight as they would have shot it today when they should have shot it like Lucas would have shot it then.

The fight itself though is so much better than the original, and unlike the prequels it looks like a more or less real fight.

A certain amount of it's stylistic choice. The fights in Empire and Jedi were imitating combat in samurai films, so the emphasis is on tension over action. I think this even persists into Phantom: the frantic temp of the Maul fight is framed by the characters response as being unusual, that Maul's aggressive style is outside the norms of light-combat. It only really changes into Clones, which I've got to imagine was in part due to the Maul fight, but I'd also guess is due to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and The Matrix introducing Hong Kong styles into the mainstream, and thereby changing expectations of what a fight can or should look like. And, honestly, I'm not sure I think it was a wise move: the fights in those movies look good were choreographed by Yuen Woo-ping, the greatest living fight choreographer, while the prequels handed fight choreography duties to their stunt coordination, so while they are more exciting that the fights in the originals, they aren't necessarily more compelling, just visually noisier.

The fight in New Hope is just lame, though, not really any getting around that.
