How long ago is The Mandalorian supposed to take place?
Duh... 900 years before RoTJ if Yoda is a baby...
Geez Tak... do you even Star Wars? Gah!
5 years after ROTJ.
Unsurprisingly, I and facts disagree with you, so the appropriate reaction is *maximum overrustle*.
So according to Pedro Pascal, the Mandalorian's real name is
Again, I'm working from this rumor that went around when I was a 12-yr-old fanboi of the OT, but it was that Lucas had worked out a 9-movie plot, a trilogy of trilogies and that R2 and C3P0 were the one through-line, the constant observers of the whole unfolding saga, the audience's stand-in.
"wretched hive of scum and villainy," thank you very much.
wtf I love the prequels now
David Morgan-Mar is a hoot: I've been reading IWC for maybe 13 years now.
As much as I love the regular Darths and Droids I cannot bring myself to really like the Muppet special, except for a few lines here and there. It's just… you cannot do a gag dub of something that already was comedy.
Now you know why I havent visited the site since the second page they did of it. When shall it end?
They are near the end of the sketch already so it shouldn't last long. I'll post about it here.
Today I just watched Spaceballs again. They got Star Wars better than Disney did, of course, but its' also interesting to see how closely the model of the planetary atmosphere gateway in Scarif in Rogue One matches that of the Druidian Death Star data protection facility.
It's called copying.
Also... there was no "Druidian Death Star data protection facility" the Death Star data protection facility was in Rogue One. In Spaceballs, the atmospheric shield was specifically to protect the planet's air supply from being stolen and Darth Helmet used the Star Destroyer's Mega Maid form to do exactly that.
I haven't seen the third episode yet, but I'm kinda worried the current "baby Yoda" craze is going to change the course of The Mandalorian. When I saw it, I thought, "Huh, kinda cute," and moved on. But I could see them writing the series to include the baby as a regular character now to milk that craze.
Season 1 production has been in the can for quite awhile and filming is already ongoing for season 2, so I don't see any substantive changes being made to accommodate a baby Yoda "craze". Although I absolutely wouldn't mind more of him/her/it!
New clip released today from TROS:
It started pretty cool - I like the design of the Treadspeeders and Jet Troopers and how they function - but then we're treated to some lame Finn & Poe dialogue and I just roll my eyes.
all y'all talkin' 'bout baby yoda and I'm like
@JohannaK (and anybody else interested in the future evolution of Darths and Droids): comments by David Morgan-Mar on the continuation after the current plot ends.
When did D&D go weekly? I haven't read it since they started Rogue One.
