All the world's diplomatic problems between countries should be solved with soccer games, it would be crazy TV ratings too. Just imagine:

USA vs Mexico for Immigration policy
France vs Germany for old time's sake

and even higher stakes:

North Korea vs South Korea for re-unification
China vs Taiwan for freedom

You'd have billions watching.

It would make so much profit in commercials and solve problems without bloodshed(assuming they didn't kill each other on the field).

Ok but they should be Australian Rules games

But it could start some actual wars.

I'd love to see what MLS and the USNTs would look like in 20 years if this happened.

And all umpires should wear labcoats, not just the goal umpires.
AFL umpiring is a science!

1 point France.
Your serve, Collingwood!

Iam pretty sure that Germany and Brazil will be the words greatest new superpowers wont allow that.
(Russia is banned for cheating and most of her lands had become part of Greater Europe afterwards)

Judging by Germany's performance this year, they would be annexed by Iceland before they had the chance to enforce Merkel's views on immigration on the rest of the EU.

The suggestion that conflicts should be solved by soccer, is pretty racist and questionable. Average size differences would leave certain countries at a disadvantage. The average male in South Korea for example is only 170cm small, while the average male in Germany is a majestic 181cm tall. While soccer does not reward height as much as some other sports do - basketball comes to mind - it does certainly make a difference that would come into play if all countries were training the best of the best to be their problem solving tools.

Also, females would not be able to compete at all. I would not want to live in a society that has made its problem-solving power a male-only privilege.

And Palestine couldn't field a team because the US-backed Zionist nutters in
Israel keep shooting their children.
