[ALMOST FIXED] Missionary freezes for several seconds when converting a city

As you can see in the following video: http://youtu.be/Y1riSHc1rGQ, the missionary freezes for several seconds when converting Onondaga. At the end you can see on the tooltip how the number of Christian followers is increased by 1.

Same thing happens in G&K with workboats: they freeze about 2 seconds before building the improvement. This doesn't happen in vanilla.

I've attached a savegame so you can test it if you want.

I do have this with prophets/missionaries 100% of the time too. Confirmed. It also happens very rarely with workers/workboats and when expending great people and when embarking or disembarking. I do believe this is a CPU issue (Q6600 here [and just so it's mentioned, GPU is a HD5850]) with units changing their appearance, people with better CPUs might not be bottlenecked here. The question is why didn't it happen pre G&Ks (with workers/workboats/expended great persons/embarkation)?

I have a hexcore AMD Phenom II (black edition or something?) and 2 high end graphics cards running in crossfire and alot of ram. I still have this issue 100% of the time.

My computer has an Intel i7 970 processor, an nVidia GTX 580 graphics card, 8 GB of RAM and an SSD. These are very good specs so I don't think the problem is hardware related.

I think this only occurs when it's done from the water, at least in my experience. My guess is since the missionary can't wave his hands and do the animation while embarked, the game is still waiting for that time period to pass. I'm pretty sure that's what's up. Does it make sense for such a thing to happen? No. Does this with Great People as well (try it with a Great Merchant for example).

I get this a lot even on land. The game just sits for a few seconds before letting me continue my turn.

It seems the freeze has been fixed in patch 1.0.2.13. The tooltip update delay seems to persist and the missionary unit doesn't vanish for a while, but the UI at least allows you to do other actions simultaneously.

I get the freeze most of the time too.

I've a very decent PC i.e 6 cores @ 4.8GHz, 16GB of 2400MHz quad channel RAM, HD7970 video card, 3x SSD's in RAID0.

I assumed it was just processing the whole religious pressure calcs

This bug has been completely fixed in patch 1.03.18. Once you press the "Spread Religion" icon, the conversion is instant now!.
