Alpha Centauri Audio+Video Album - a li'l 25th anniversary tribute

This is magnificent, thank you for this !
You're very welcome, glad you're enjoying it! I needed to postpone the production of the new & improved video versions because, you know, real life, but I'm quite proud of the the ones that are published.

Thanks for those. It made me to play once more :). Is there any chance for per secret projects videos to use them during the game ?

You're welcome!

Not sure if I understand the question. All the secret project movies that are on my channel play during the game when you complete the project. If they don't for you, it's a matter of changing a graphics setting in the game. Since the game is old, they also may or may not play depeding on your Windows / emulator graphics configuration. That's trickier, but shouldn't be too hard to troubleshoot.

You can play the movies outside the game too. The files are in the game directory under "movies". Though they use an ancient codec, modern players such as vlc recognize the format. In the same directory there's also the video player that the game uses natively, playuv15.exe (see this post and this thread). Rendered this way the visuals IMV look smoother, but the player affords less control over seeking, resizing, etc.

Glad you like the work!

Yeah in game this works,

The confusion is that I naively though that your files are hi-res AI upscale (pardon my eyesight lol - or maybe yt compression softened the edge). The custom movie player makes possible using other movie format (e.g. some HEVC after upscale - maybe i'll try myself someday)

It doesn't' change the fact that I like your compilations :)

Got it. Yes, the modern video players butcher the decompression so badly that rendering the vids with software from the 1990s looks like they got upscaled
