Anyone out there interested in history?
Well if you are a fan of RFC, I'd hope so. What about alternate history? All the major what ifs of history. What if this treaty were never signed? What if this battle went the other way? What if this leader wasn't assassinated? What if this election went the other way?
One question that has always fascinated me is what if the United States was... a bit less united?
What if the Republic of Texas remained an independent nation and never joined with the USA. What if California, and Oregon, and Vermont, and Deseret (Utah), and the Confederacy all were independent nations? How would the country look?

Sorry for the blatant recruiting thread, but I hoped this would be a receptive crowd and I'm no stranger to this mod so I'm hoping I'd get enough sympathy to not be flamed on sight, hehe.
The mod has huge potential I think. I don't just want to stick a few new nations on a map. I really want to explore some new features (or incorporate old features) to truly immerse the player in late 1800's America. I'm thinking the time scale should go from like 1851 till roughly the start of World War 2. Hugely formative years for the United States.
I have some good ideas for diplomacy, religion, civics, wonders, projects, immigration, events and many other things, but I need help implementing it all. So if you are interested in participating (either in modding or helping to write the history of this alternate reality), please check out this thread:
