Alternate Terrains (Earth/Land)

Even now i dont care and dont recognize terrains

We have too many of them to remember how they looks.

Since we have so many that i must hover mouse to recognize them I like alternate terrains more.
They simply looks much better. Thanks DH

I'm sorry, but how exactly do you install these textures? I tried just uncompressing the texture folder into my C2C folder, but I still have the default terrain textures.

You need to extract the complete package into your mod folder.
Which is already said in the op, take 7-zip and extract the files into your Caveman2Cosmos folder.

Not more and no less.

Nobody told you to extract the texture folder seperately.

omg SO much better then to originals.

i understand that the creator of the originals wanted them to be visually diverse, but with a scale of the map like civ has, it just gets cluttered up.

also, the original ones are, from an aesthetic point of view, plain and simple ugly.

there is no flow between the tiles if it looks like a chessboard.

this modmod greatly helps. thnx.

These look much better than the originals which I found hard to deal with as well, thanks.

More contrast and definition is not always a good thing. I'd prefer a consistent and smooth aesthetic any day of the week.
