Two Questions:

1. In every turn I have to choose what to build in each city, even though I want to build the same unit over and over again. In Civ III there was an "Always Built Same Unit" option in the Options Screen which solved this annoying problem. Is there something similar for Civ IV?

2. In Civ III there was also the option for all units build (on the same continent) and as soon as they were built to be moved automatically to a particular tile. Is there something similar for Civ IV?

Thanks in advance ...

Yup, these are available.

1. Alt-click on the picture of the thing you want in the production display. Note that this works either in the city-details screen, or from the main world view if you select the city "label" (the little doodad with the name, population, current production, etc. displayed). If you're in the city display, the alt-clicked item will get a * next to it in the build queue, signifying its mass-production characteristic. If you alt click multiple things, I think they take turns building one each.

You can use ctrl-click on the doodad to select all the cities on the island, or alt-click to select all cities in your empire. This allows you to say, queue up those universities you just invented in each of your cities, but the way it works with regard to available construction (ie, universities require a library) sort of confuses me...

2. To set a rally point ("go to tile"), select the doodad (city... banner? What is that thing called!) and shift right click (pretty sure it's shift right click) the tile you want things to go to. Try not to forget when you rally your axemen someplace, and then thousands of years later build disappearing workers and missionaries!

So if you want to build a loop of 2 Swordsmen 1 Catapult, click
Shift-Alt-Swordsman
Shift-Alt-Swordsman
Shift-Alt-Catapult
