American politics for nonAmericans

I find American politics incomprehensible and their voting procedures ludicrous. How is it possible to take a whole YEAR to figure out who won an election -- and then have it decided by the winner's brother?

John Kennedy won fair and square!! I don't care what those mobsters in Chicago say, there was no hanky panky going on in the 1960 election. HIs brother Bobby had nothing to do with it.

There are no Americans or non-Americans. There are only people!

And that makes it ok, that both sides have done it? Your system needs some work :p

Usually not, usually because of the extreme right wing views that are posted.

i love america because we have the best sayings, like...

just kill um' all and let god sort um' out..

if i wasn't an american i'd be scurred, i mean we bomb crap just for the news ratings.. we get bored so every now and then we gotta blow some stuff up, it's great television

your almost right..

Theres Americans and then theres second citizens.

I'm somewhat of an American political junkie. Its my course of study, many of my formal employment experiences have been based around it, I discuss it and joke about it for fun, etc.

I find foreign politics also interesting, but not as much, because I don't really have a stake in the outcome. Its hard to appreciate the subtle parts of the game from afar.

Here? Discussing politics is sometimes fun, sometimes *bangs head into wall*
