[GS] An Engineer's dream achievement

I fail to see what I'm missing to get this achievement so all ideas are welcome. Because it's quite hard to find the right conditions for this one I'm rather hoping not having to go through the whole process of setting up a game and finding maybe 1 spot in which it's feasible again! Tia!


Achievement: An Engineer's Dream
Have a Canal, Dam, Aqueduct, Railroad, Golden Gate Bridge, and Mountain Tunnel in a city

I've numbered them accordingly. In the right lower corner the confirmation I've build railroad tracks from the timeline.

Couple of thoughts
- have you checked that all the improvements are in tiles owned by Arpinium as opposed to another city?
- I notice that you don't own the tile to the East of the Golden Gate Bridge. Could this be the issue?

1) Yes, all the tiles are owned by Arpinum
2) Dunno, maybe. I'll have to keep this game going anyway because Vesuvius hasn't had a catastrophic eruption either, so maybe it'll grow to include this tile as well.

I suppose the other option is that the achievement could be bugged. The Steam global achievement stats says 0% for this one and it is second bottom on the list (play a rock band in Cleveland is bottom)

That one I do have. Played as Teddy vs Teddy and fortunately 'the other' Teddy built Cleveland. Citynames are unique it seems, we drew from the same pool but not one name was the same. Still 8 or 9 achievements to go (I don't do scenario's)

A lot of times achievements will only trigger based on the last item that you built. Given that the mountain tunnel and railroad aren't built by the city, I could see them missing that check, thus requiring that the bridge, canal, dam, or aqueduct be the last one built to trigger.

Hmm, railroad was the last one built. I don't save much so let's hope I have a savegame I can check with. Didn't know this one so grateful for the info!

I've gotten this achievement. It as a pain because there was only 1 or 2 spots in the entire Pangaea world where this could be built.

Does your city have a Canal District or the Panana Canal wonder? Because Engineer's Dream requires a Canal district, not necessarily the Panama Canal wonder.

Otherwise, you might want to try and make sure the actual city has a Railroad improvement (and not just the tiles next to the city).

Hi! I just wanted to confirm, that the achievement is still achievable. Ironically it is not achievable with the Roman Civilization who perfected Engineering. Nomen est omen.

Maybe the Bath District does not qualify as Aqueduct District.
